Good Saturday Morning, Everyone,

Today so far:
AMPS 200
+2.25 98 Fed some 12% Thanksgiving Day Dinner
+3.25 61 Fed more 12%
+4.5 48 Fed 12% with Karo
+5.5 56 Fed 12% off to the canoe picnic; left food in the automat for +9
PMPS 132
+4 50 Fed 8% and 12% mix; put 4% in automat for +8.5 snack

Stu was still subdued this morning and hadn't eaten much overnight. He tried to hack up a hairball, but only managed a little grass. I think his problem is a hairball (hasn't had one in quite a while: unusual!!). He is also, I really think, depressed about our upcoming trip to NYC and his treatment. But he perked up and ate the 1st installment of breakfast (Wellness chicken with a little Fortiflora sprinkled into it and a treat of tuna water with some Greek yogurt). Litterbox good. We went outside and he looked around a bit (much cooler today and breezy; the autumn color is at its hight here now and is beautiful). Came back in and tested 98 at +2.25, so he got his 2nd installment of breakfast of Thanksgiving Day Dinner (12%). At the moment he is sitting in the sun on my porch.

We are going paddling today. Were going to go this morning, but will wait until noon to see how Stu is doing. The builders of our wonderful, lightweight canoes (Placid Boatworks) are having their annual weekend at a local campsite for their loyal followers and other interested paddlers. There will be paddles and boat tryouts today and a cookout this evening. These guys are hunters and good cooks and there will be venison chili, elk stew, etc. Last year there was an amazing arugula pesto. We won't get to eat most of the food because we will have to leave early to do Stu's shot and it's too far away to leave the party and then go back, but we will get to sample the appetizers. Edward has baked a huge Hungarian potato bread to take as our contribution.

All for now. I am working on getting all of the instructions for Stu's tests, shots, food, etc. to take to Hypurrcat. It is not easy to describe what we do!!!! Everyone have a good day.

That's a drop! I hope the food slows him down so you can get your paddle in.

Hungarian potato bread? Yummmm, does DH share recipes?

What a fun day you have planned - how nice to be able to try out canoes! Fun indeed. Enjoy the paddle, and the cookout - as much of that as you can. I'm with Ann - Hungarian potato bread: Yummmm!!

Yep, He's definitely wanting attention today (and getting it). Gave more 12% at +3.25 (61). Will retest at +4. The Hungarian potato bread recipe is in Georg Lang's The Cuisine of Hungary, but Edward likes James Beard's modification of Lang's recipe in Beard on Bread.

He isn't listening, Michelle! And I am remiss, because I was wrapped up in my instructions for Hypurrcat and lost track of the time. So at +4.5 Stu got a 48 and I fed some more 12%, this time with Karo. We may get out much later than we'd planned today.

wow stu! You certainly did your best to keep your momma bean at home didn't you? Those numbers look great on you, but no need to get down that far in record speed! Glad you got to go on your outing Ella!

I hope you have a wonderful paddle today. And enjoy the cookout too as much as you can. I hope Stu won't be depressed and will be thinking positively about getting the treatment. I'm big on thinking positive, even for kitties. :-D

Hi again Everyone,
It was a rainy and cold afternoon, but we had fun anyway. Got in a short paddle and got to try out the new boat (the one that won its class in the 90-mile race 2 weeks ago)--a 16-foot, narrow, light, and very fast solo canoe, paddled with a double-blade paddle. We got to see some friends we hadn't seen since July and had a good time sitting around (but had to leave before the venison chili). Stu was fine. He ate some of what was left out for him (carefully avoiding the 4% and going for the 8%). He took his evening pill with the pill shooter on the 1st try!!!!!
Off now to get caught up on condos.

hey, stu...did you hear mannie's looking to "pick up" a vehicle so we can drive out by hypurrcat? we can't come in...but we'll honk the horn a lot so you know we're nearby..

I am very impressed with Stu's numbers today! He did pretty well there!
So glad you got a chance to go out to you afternoon paddle and see some friends. It is very important to take care of yourself along with Stu!

Hi Ella! The boat tryouts sound neat; what a good idea on the manufacturer's part. I hope you got to eat some delicious food at the cookout, too, even though you couldn't stay for all of it. I bet the fall colors are beautiful up there, esp. with all the cold weather you've been having. Ours haven't started to turn yet, but we don't usually see much until the middle of October or so.

No diving again tonight, ok? I like to do it, too, but my bean gets mad. :oops: I hope you aren't too nervous about your trip. I think the car is awful, but I guess really it's not that bad. Your bean just wants to make you feel better so you can eat and go to parties, ok? Let us know if you need company while you're gone; I'd love to see NYC! Otherwise we'll just see you when you get back home, ok?

sounds like a nice time Ella, even with the rain. i do enjoy weather when one is out in it - puts a whole new and different spin on things. I am glad that it was fun.

Stu ! DUDE! good job on going for the carbs! we had fun today at gracie's pool - it was so cool that her papabean was our cabana boy. WOOT! hey did you see binks photo? we've been busy takin shopping for a vehicle... what'd'ya think? have a good night buddy! Hey Guys, Car "shopping" looks like a blast! Just don't get pinched!! I like to ride in the car. I travel well (and never in my carrier). Got to turn in now, 'cause my mamabean is tired and is going to turn off the computer. See you tomorrow.
