Nice AMPS Arnie!

Bob, is he wiggling? Are you shooting through the tent? Maybe we can help you if we know what's happening.

Hopefully some got in this morning, and he'll hold his own :-D

Bob not sure where you give Arnie his shot but I give Spikes along his side after his front leg and before his back leg. Hes got a lot of loose skin there and I just gently pull some out making a tent and shoot. Hes usually eating a treat and doesnt flinch a bit.

Trying to shoot now along the flank by the hind leg and have also tried the side close to the (but not on) the underbelly. Arnie is such a good boy he does not wiggle or move, but for some reason I am just having a real hard time finding skin back there through all of his fur. I never had a problem shooting in the shoulder (scruff) area I don't think I ever gave a furshot there. But this is uncharted territory now and new for both of us. I KNOW if I had a shaved area I would not have a problem so I may just have to do that. Tried and failed miserably at trimming and shaving him myself this morning. The vet can do it FAST and EASY so I will probably call her Monday and make an appointment. On the bright side today I must have gotten some in, either that or he continued dropping after the AMPS because I checked him @ +5 and it was 107!?!??! So I am hoping for a nice surprise tonight and not a HIGH pink number. At least I know we are making progress and he is doing better with the new injection site, now I just need to get it in him and not on him consistently and if it takes a shave job so be it. He may look funny but it will be for his own good and mine! I poked my finger a few times too lately!!

Hope when u poked yourself u didn't inject the insulin! Nice to see the better numbers - you've been at this for awhile so I'm sure you'll adapt soon.
