yesterday was day 325 otj.... I hadn't tested since 9/14 with a 70, so about a week ago.
Today she is at 172... re-tested since I was slow getting the blood to the strip, and it was on my thumbnail.... so I hoped it was wrong but
retest was a 170.
Yesterday was difficult day.
We left at 1 pm.... Shadow eating her food... headed to Santa Fe for a renaissance festival.
When we left the festival, the air conditioner on the car wasn't cooling. My DH stopped at a store because my computer monitor was
acting like it was dying and I noticed smoke/steam coming from under the hood. And then saw the temp gauge was on Hot.
He checked stuff... said we had coolant.... things weren't overheating under the hood....
and we drove toward our dinner destination but the gauge continued to go as high as possible, stopped at Walmart, and he continued
checking it all.... and letting it cool down.
We drove a few more blocks and had to stop again. This time we happened right by a car shop and the guy was on his way home.....
but his 2 minute assessment was that it was probably the thermostat or the pump.
We could leave the car with him but he wouldn't get to it until Monday.
But we could probably drive with the heater on high. My dh took that option, fortunately my dd 's fiancé's family was in town too
so they followed us home .... at 30 -40 mph.
Anyway, I didn't get home until 9:30pm. Shadow's food was untouched. @-) She apparently stopped eating after we were gone and never
went back.
I fed her, but she barely touched it.... maybe ate 1/4 can small can all night. This morning she won't touch her food either, nor the treat.
I am thinking I may have to syringe feed her if she doesn't eat soon. nailbite_smile
I just got up and ran and gave her some ham deli slices and she ate that. Whew..... hate to give her that but I thought that might get the appetite primed a little.
I also gave her some Pepcid 15 minutes ago to see if that get's her to eat.
So....... I'll be checking again obviously today....... see if this is a fluke or if our remission status is over.
At least I have a pen in the fridge..... since I bought one last summer when we had a bout of higher numbers..... but today is higher than those were.
Hopefully it's a good pen.
