Yesterday's condo
Long emotional day yesterday. The good news is that Iris is back home. The vet started her on Albuterol treatments four times a day and that has really helped her breathe. She is also able to eat right after each treatment, but is still refusing food at other times. And she was thrilled to be back home and sleep with her Mama Bean. The vet is still trying to figure out what the next step should be. Obviously, this isn't treating the underlying cause, but it is at least helping to alleviate the symptoms.
Shortly after I brought Iris home, Ivy and Fern were adopted. They went to a very nice young couple with two Golden Retrievers. The dogs did excellent with my bossy kittens... and Ivy didn't waste any time to let them know that she will be the new boss.
I am very glad that they will get to stay together and I really like their new parents... but I miss them terribly. What made it even worse is that poor little Flora is completely lost. Iris doesn't want to play right now and she just lost her two best friends. She was running circles around my adult cats last night, but they just don't play like kittens.
I think that Mandarin and Walter are both picking up on me being super stressed... and I wasn't able to sleep much. I finally went ahead and gave Mandarin a dosecrease this morning and I hope that they will both head back down soon.
I am once again late for my volunteer shift and have to run out the door... but I am looking forward to checking out some condos later. The last few days have been so crazy, I never even made it back to the board. And here's Ivy and Fern's adoption picture with their new family.
