Nice start for Trix, so no follow-up pokey since she began in the normal range. And, a very happy lumberjack-ette gluttonous appy this morning, too!
However, it was a horrible, horrible, horrible morning for the gelcap, though. I got up an hour early - at 4:00 - to shift the meds schedule to accommodate my Dad's birthday/early dinner this evening. For whatever reason, though, Trix was extremely upset about the gelcap...like I've never seen before. She was hissing and growling and making all sorts of cat fight sounds....right after I brag about how helpful she is with her meds and fluids!! I'm writing this and saving it as a draft that I will post later, and as of now - 5:25 - 45 minutes later than planned, I still haven't gotten it down her. I'm pretty upset, too, although I'm trying to not let her see that...partly because she's so upset, partly because I so desperately needed the sleep I lost by getting up an hour early to do this. Not only do we have my Dad's birthday dinner tonight, but we also have a funeral early this morning, and I have to work in between the funeral and dinner. If she is still as upset the next time I try, I really may have to totally skip her meds until tonight. I've never done that before, but I don't know what else to do....so THAT would be upsetting to me, too. She's doing so well and I don't want to throw her off track. What I wouldn't give to be able to give a reasonably priced injection of all these meds...it would have been done and I would have gone BTB long ago.....
Big sigh.....
Have a great day, everyone...

ETA...Gave her a snack, let her settle for about 20 or so minutes, and finally got the gelcap down with minimal trouble at 5:45...the time I usually give it to her, and an hour later than my target time for this morning. I have no idea why she was so upset at first. We had our usual morning snuggles, ate a normal first breffis, and she's all snuggly now, too.
