What happened to his depot?

Things that changed: He got his first dose of Adequan on 9/14. I missed a dose of Cabergoline either the night of or the night after his hypo event. *I have not moved back to normal shots times yet.

So, he went hypo on 21, had good numbers on 20, but now he's going back up to high just since yesterday.

Maybe pain?

I see blue on the 15th, which was yesterday. Have patience. You could try 20.5, but not sure that would really help. First thing to do is change your shot time.

He had his rehab appointment today. None of it was good news or promising. Most of his arthritis issues are hips and back. He's actually limping now after his exam. And he has severe ligament laxity in front paws. They discussed euthanasia. And suggested a CBD product.

He was just acting like his old self for a bit when he was in the 100s. That jump off the bed was not good. He's lax in all directions on the left carpal now after doing that.

I wonder if he has vision problems or just didn't use his steps. It was middle of the night so sometimes wonder if he can't see well. The high BGs have destroyed everything else. So why not his eyes.

Sorry to keep asking, but he's been on this dose for 5 days. Usually I increase now, but that hypo is throwing me off on what to do next.

Did they have any solutions to support his front paws? BG doesn't typically impact eyes in cats.

Neko had really bad arthritis in her spine and back end. What really helped her was buprenorphine, Duralactin, and acupuncture. Plus she was getting Cartrophen, sort of like Adequan but what we can get more commonly in Canada. It does take a few treatments for you to notice an improvement. I have seen some acrocats here on CBD, you could try that.

I answered your dose question above. I think you should switch to a better shot time as the first step, then stabilize the 20 unit depot, then see about an increase. I'm worried about your wonky shot schedule and ability to monitor if he should go low again on that schedule.

They mentioned acupuncture too. And we can try braces but most cats with neuropathy don't wear them. The vets (all of them) hesitate to use bupe again after his reaction to it.

Sorry I wasn't clear on what you meant, but I understand. Although his depot is stabilized because we've been doing the same time since his hypo:1:30/1:30. Yes? If you mean wonky because we can't sustain 1:30am then yes, we agree. My husband wants to change it this weekend when he's around more.
 
Why does your husband have to be around to switch times?

Yes his depot is stable now, but moving times by quite a bit will impact it some again.
