She was vomiting like mad and miserable and I waited a few hours, after ondenestron and cerenea, buyt she remained awful, so I gave her dexamethasone im. THis resolved the symptoms immediately. I continues with the cerenea and ondanestron, and she felt so pep0py that within the next 4 days she made 2 successful kibble raids. Sigh.
But it was wonderful to see her back to her old self. For months she's been too quiet. Of course, I realized that this was the dexamethasone - not a real improvement - and this knowledge broke my heart. I hadn't remembered clearly how active and happy she used to be. Naturally within 4 or 5 days, she returned to her diminished self. I cannot think of another way to describe the quiet kitty that remained.
Her pancreatic symptoms, however had resolved. I tried to return TiTi to cerenea EOD, for economic reasons - the pills are $5/day. She threw up within 3 days of this regimen, so I now have her on daily cerenea. She's doing fine, and has returned to her new, "old self".
We soldier on.
