? 9/15 Prince large drops

I like the blues too! I just worry about the bouncing from red to blue to red to blue.
I won’t be able to do a curve until Saturday. Should I plan on increasing before then?
I just booked his dental for 10/11. It does include X-rays. I’m hoping that will help.
 
With the blues nadirs it’s not time to increase yet. Let’s see how he does today and tomorrow. While I know you are supposed to do a curve before deciding, if you do spot checks and catch the nadirs it’s even better in my opinion. Are you away from home after +4 during the day? If you can grab a +5-7 you will have enough info to decide dosing. I suspect he’s not going much lower but it would be good to have a test to confirm. If possible before Sunday a dosing decision might be able to be made after 7 days.
That’s great you have the dental scheduled as that could really help.
The more time he spends in blue the less severe the bounces will be. I don’t imagine it feels great but kind of like us coming down from a sugar high although I don’t feel at all strange then so who knows.
 
I wonder the same thing with my Shooter. Look at our spreadsheet. It's a colorful disaster! I always wonder how terrible he must feel going up and down and up and down... :(

I know with my guy....when it's approaching dental time...he just loves the hang on to those higher numbers.
You've gotta remember that in most cases...our cats have been pre-diabetic for who knows how long before we got the FD diagnosis. Their bodies will try to maintain what they 'think' is their normal as much as possible. It takes time- and then some more time- for their little livers to stop panicking and for the pancreas to do what it needs to and help things level out.

You are doing the right things and asking the right questions.
 
I’m usually gone from +2 until +11 Monday-Friday. I do live close enough that I could get an occasional spot check if needed. It can’t be a regular thing, though, because work would frown upon it.

We used to just do a BG curve on Sundays , so I could get an idea of where I needed to go with the next dose
...you grab 'em when ya can.
