Tricia Cinco(GA) & Harvey

Thought I would start a new thread, as the last one is getting a bit long.
Thank you, everyone, for the support and vines and prayers and hugs. Sorry I can't answer each of you individually, but I treasure each comment and you are helping me cope.
Dr. Lim, the IM, just called. It wasn't a great connection, but I think I got most of what she had to say. Harvey is still in ICU, and will be for at least another day or two. They are having to go slowly in getting his electrolytes in balance, as to go too quickly could result in brain damage.
There is some concern about his heart - it's not enlarged, thank God, but they are hearing some abnormal sounds, so a cardiologist will be examining him today. All the fluids he is getting could be causing an issue there. There is some fluid in the pericardial sac (did I get that term right? I couldn't write fast enough).
They ran his b/w this morning and the creatinine and phosphorus levels have come down, hopefully indicating that this is an acute kidney issue, rather than a chronic one. Paws crossed.
The pancreas is enlarged and they are running p-titis tests. A urine culture is pending.
The doctors that saw him last night say that he is brighter and more alert today, which is good. They are not giving him his Lantus today, but are monitoring his BGs and will give R as needed.
I am going to try to go to see him around 6:00 pm, which is when Dr. Lim said she should be available to see me, too.
Please keep the vines and prayers coming. I'm going to stop on the way home and buy some lottery tickets. Awesome care is not cheap.
Once again, thank you all for being there. I'm sorry I'm not doing any visiting right now. This is just a little too overwhelming for me, but I do care about all of you and your kitties are in my prayers.
