BbB! Sigh. I am trying to be patient here. We will see if she can get on a roll here after she breaks this bounce.

She was funny today. After she ate this morning, she went to the bedroom like normal and then sprinted to the litterbox. I thought "uh-oh" something must be up. I think she just really had to poop (it was fine). After that she proceeded to tear around the apartment for a good 5 minutes while Blair and I chased her.

Only time she gets on the cat tree is during a zoomie session

Seth! Hi! ✨ It's so interesting how the pm cycle differs from the am one, right? It was the same here.

I was taking a look at Bell's spreadsheet. 😊 Sorry to ask something silly, but everybody is constantly mentioning "breaking a bounce" and I still get confused about it sometimes. What event are you talking about for now - if I may ask? Is it because of the lower numbers on September 7 and her BG reaction after that? Then it means she needs a couple of cycles to break it and get better numbers again - is that right?

I took part in FDMB way after I made many dose decisions by myself... so you can imagine. I had to learn to read Mami's curve and reactions by myself. Some aspects I was able to notice very well, after all... although I was not counting the number of cycles the way people do here.

Thank you!

I can really only speak for Bell, but she tends to go lowest after recovering (breaking) a bounce. She tends to have longer bounces that can last multiple cycles. If you look at her bounce on 9/2, she broke that on 9/5 and went under 50. 8/9 was a relatively fast bounce break from 8/8.

Bell rarely has consistent, stable numbers, so I've had to rely on trying to forecast her ups and downs. Right now I'm not sure if her numbers are just too high and I need to increase, or if I need to be patient and wait for her to drop low on this dose. Since she is on the upswing, I'm watching to see how low she will get on the downswing of bounce. If she can't get back to greens after recovery from this bounce, I will be asking the experienced folks here if it is time for an increase.

Wendy pointed out yesterday that she had two < 50's already on this dose and was trending down last night, so it was best to wait. Unfortunately, she didn't get much lower than her PMPS on that cycle and is now bouncing. So I'm still debating increasing soon.

Seth, with this explanation here, it got clearer for me now. You consider that she recovered from a bounce when she goes quite low, even if it takes multiple cycles to happen. I think I got it! And the one from August - yes, that one got "broken" super fast. Thank you for the clear examples.

I can really imagine this is all quite a journey for you. Some things you and other people here are doing for their kitties are absolutely priceless... she is blessed to have you as her human. I am so sure of that.

I see. It caught my attention that her pm cycle is quite different from the am one. Right? Higher numbers at night. (It was the same with Mami, by the way.) Maybe more counterregulatory hormones involved too.
I think you have a timely question, and I saw Wendy's answer the other day.

Anyways, better to be sure... (for both am and pm cycles) and you are a good observer, analyzing it all. We will see if it is time for 👖 or for some extra action!

I send my love and cuddles to Bell 💓. She is often playful and I enjoy seeing her pics!!
