Nice +4 - what a great day for Curry! looks like she likes the new dose.

Too hot? and here I am cursing gray skies, the threat of rain, and the slide into fall. Though I have to admit: don't mind the cool temps, and all the wonderful fall colors that this change will bring. My fav time of year. anyways - hope the hot isn't too bad today.

And thanks for my IV this morning. perfect, absolutely perfect. :lol:

Did you take that Houston picture too? I've had to look up the recipe for Nanaimo Bars - never heard of them before and they look fabu.

Kim, you are more than welcome. Hope you are doing better today.

I do love my job as an oncology social worker....the work is very rewarding. And I just love my co-workers and patients. I consider myself very fortunate.

Yeah, the Houston photo is mine. I like to play at "photography". However, since Curry's dx the opportunity to play has been altered a bit. That's OK...I'm learning how to readjust my schedule and hope to incorporate more photography down the road.

Nanimo Bars....I'm from Canada but have lived in Houston most of my life. As a teenager we moved back to BC Canada (Victoria) for a year....and learned about Nanimo bars then.....There are a couple of co-workers from Canada who will make the bars....they are yummy. I don't bake....that's probably a good thing....if the sweets were around I'd would inhale them......

And, yes, I'm still packing....not moving until the end of the month....but I like to be ahead of the game when I have the chance. Have a great day Kim.

And I think that after seeing those Nanimo Bars I am going to have to look up the recipe...they look soooooo yummy!

Oh man...those variations look sinful. Bailey's Irish Creme for me please.

It calls for custard and I don't know if you can find custard here in States.....I think some US based folks use pudding.

So it looked like Curry surfed this afternoon. Her +5 was 68. Cooooooooooooooooooool.

Typically when she has been this low at pre-shot....her BG will increase or just decrease a little. We will see what happens tonight.

Oh....the Houston Texans won...they actually won. Wooohooo. Sweet game. I'm not really into football ....just like watching those tight ends or a local team do well. :mrgreen:

Beautiful cycle today!

I'm trying very hard to forget those yummy looking treats in Pat's condo yesterday! DD was looking over my shoulder and thought those nanimo bars looked great, so I may have to try making them one of these days...after the peach pie of course....there goes my willpower... :roll:

Curry, that was one great day of numbers! Nanaimo bars? I was actually in Nanaimo once (a long time ago), but only heard about the bars yesterday!! They look delicious.

From the amount you've been packing, I'm wondering if this is a big move. Either way, moving is a pain!

Party...absolutely....I'll bring tuna tartare. I'm watching the food channel w/my bean right now. Its almost as good as reading Pat's thread yesterday..
