I ned dose advice please.....he is dropping too fast....I will be picked up in one hour..noon.....he has had

He had 1.5 @ 3.5 hours ago..

Yesterday:
viewtopic.php?f=9&t=21783

Shot 1.5, not fatted this morning. I will be gone all day, and can't monitor. I couldn't test last night, and he was lower than normal, so can't risk hypo.
I will leave auto feeder loaded with 2 snacks, but can't be sure he'll eat. He really doesn't care about food, unlike his bean. :-D
Gotta run, will check condos later.

Wonderful Sunday, Everybody. :-D

Re: 8/8 Checkers AMPS/254

not a bad start to the day .. mid yellow .. lots of good numbers could come from this! I hope checkers eats his snacks and surfs the day away in blues and greens .. have a great day!

Re: 8/8 Checkers AMPS/254...90/+3!!....67+3.5...DOSE ADVICE !!

A little MC might slow him down. Re-test at +4.

Update SS when you have a moment.

Re: 8/8 Checkers AMPS/254...90/+3!!....67+3.5...DOSE ADVICE !!

I'd give some HC/MC food now and test in 20 min. and repeat as you need to in order to see if you can level numbers off.

Also, depending on where Checkers' numbers are at close to when you're leaving, put out food of the appropriate carb content so he can feed himself.

Re: 8/8 Checkers AMPS/254...90/+3!!....67+3.5. ADVICE PLEASE

Thank you so much for prompt answers. I never had to leave the house when he was dropping.
I will test again. It's been 20 minutes. I have all kinds of foods to slow this.
Gees, I hate to undo this streak. *sigh*
Ronnie, I cant do SS now; it takes forever to load, and freezes my compter....I wouldn't be able to use it if Ihave an emergency.
Sheesh, I've been waiting weeks (it seems) for the little stinker to get green, and he has to do it today?

Re: 8/8 Checkers AMPS/254...90/+3!!....67+3.5. ADVICE PLEASE

Double damn!! 48@+4.....gave a tablespoon of gravy food.....how long to check again, ?

Re: 8/8 Checkers AMPS/254...90/+3!!....67+3.5. ADVICE PLEASE

15 minutes,,,not too much gravy foods, we don't want an overload.

how long til you have to leave?

Re: 8/8 Checkers 90/+3!!....67+3.5..48/+4

15 minutes check again may have to use corn syrup on gums Kath

Re: 8/8 Checkers 90/+3!!....67+3.5..48/+4

My DD is picking me up at noon..20 minutes. Luckily she understands this whole dance and will change plans if need be.
Trying not to panic. I know cats have been much lower, but Checks hasn't.
I am starting to doubt myself now. Am I sure I gave 1.5.

Re: 8/8 Checkers 90/+3!!....67+3.5..48/+4

ok good. No panicking thou, lots of people here to guide you.

If Checkers start to dip under 40, give a little karo/syrup.. just a little dab

In the meantime, you want to get the numbers over 50 and keep doing the rinse, lather, repeat

Re: 8/8 Checkers 90/+3!!....67+3.5..48/+4

We love you Ronnie sorry didn`t mean to jump in with advice thought she had to leave right away    Kath

Re: 8/8 Checkers 90/+3!!....67+3.5..48/+4..54@4.20

Up to 54 now.....WHEW!
I will check again in 15 min. Thank you all for staying with, and giving much needed advice.
I admit, I am a scardey cat!!!

one more question......should I leave normal LC in feeders, or MC?

Re: 8/8 Checkers 90/+3!!....67+3.5..48/+4..54@4.20

Barb was there myself 2 months ago and you are doing great Kath

Re: 8/8 Checkers 90/+3!!....67+3.5..48/+4..54@4.20

It's ok Kath!!

Barb, let's see what the next number is first.

Re: 8/8 Checkers 90/+3!!....67+3.5..48/+4..54@4.20

Okay, we're 68 @4/5.....I will leave his normal LC, because he won't be dropping any more.. *gulp*

Thank you all sooooooo much for holding my hand and advising, even tho this was not a crisis. It is to me, because he hasn't been green is so long.
My DD is here, and of course asking what I'm so panicked about.

Re: 8/8 Checkers 90/+3!!....67+3.5..48/+4..54@4.20

Great job, Barb! You did well, and so did Checkers. I know how scary it is when you have to leave and you have a dropping kitty. Now you've got this experience under your belt and you will breathe a little easier next time it happens. Don't be surprised if he bounces tonight, though. cat_pet_icon

Re: 8/8 Checkers 90/+3!!....67+3.5..48/+4..54@4.20

Thanks again, Everybody.
Sure was nice to have him greet me at the door, when I got home.

My DD was taking me out for my b-day, and plans were easily changed. She has a house full of pets, so totally understands what goes with the territory.
She saved Checkers life, when he was itty bitty, and bamboozled me into taking him, so loves him also :-D
Recap of today:
254....amps
90 +3
67 +3.5
48 +4
54 +4.25
68 +4.5
155 +8.5
334 +11....yikes!
Tonight will be interesting.

Re: 8/8 Checkers .48/+4..54@4.20-155/+8.5

Could someone please direct me to a SS, that shows how to put in numbers taken every 15 minutes, or so?
thanks

Re: 8/8 Checkers .48/+4..54@4.20-155/+8.5

Green Checkers! Wow, what a day for your birthday, Barb!! A nice present from Checkers. Happy Birthday!!

To put in more than 1 number in a box on your SS: control+enter starts a new line in the box. Type the next bg number, then hit control+enter again, type the @, hit control+enter again, type the +6 (or whatever hour it is). After you have everything in the box, you have to add the color yourself: click on the 4-color square at the top of the spreadsheet and choose the correct color when the color box opens.
If you need to edit, or add more to a box after you have closed it and gone on, double click the box.

Hope this helps.
Great day so far for Checkers!!

Ella

Re: 8/8 Checkers .48/+4..54@4.20-155/+8.5

I;ve been wondering that too, so thanks for asking, and thanks for answering Ella.

Re: 8/8 Checkers .48/+4..54@4.20-155/+8.5

Nice job this morning. YOu and Checkers did great.

Unless you specifically want a new line when you finish typing and hit enter it will automatically split a line to fit the width if you put spaces in. You can also resize the type to 8 or 9 point if things get cropped a little. e.g. "48@+4" would not split into different lines and would get cropped. "48 @ +4" would get automatically split into different lines.

Re: 8/8 Checkers .48/+4..54@4.20-155/+8.5

Thanks Ella and Ann. I'm gonna print out those instructions, so I can read while doing.
I am Google SS, challenged.

Re: 8/8 Checkers .48/+4..54@4.20-155/+8.5

Barb, you did great earlier! Nice catch! :-D I was watching, but didn't post because I figured the advice was more important at the time, and I'm no help with that! Happy birthday!

I do what Ann said, I just use spaces to split the lines. Thanks for the info Ella, I didn't know how to do that!

Re: 8/8 Checkers .48/+4..54@4.20-155/+8.5

Happy Birthday to you Barb hope you have a great time today Angels and Hugs going out to you ..& Checker and DD too Kath

Putting lots of numbers in SS wasn't as hard as it sounded. I used a little from Ella, little from Ann, and Sienne told me long ago, how to move box wider. Thanks Ladies :-D
Thank you for birthday wishes also.
DD took me to Tai restaurant for lunch. First time for Tai food. Yummm!
I brought home doggy bag, and didn't have to cook dinner.

I can't wait to see my boy get past this bounce. Guess I'll be up during the night tonite.

Hey I didn't know it was your birthday!
Sounds like you had a wonderful day!!
