STILL don't know what's going on with Alex but he is going for blood work this week.
He is acting fine though...he's been wearing his purry pants every day. He's been very affectionate and sociable. Hasn't been hostile towards Jackson. Uh OH! Maybe I SHOULD be worried nailbite_smile

He has a great appetite and had a big breffis and now he and Jacky are taking their morning snooze while I do the laundry.

Happy Sunday everyone. :-D

Aww sorry to see the HI AMPS...hopefully the bloodwork will help figure this out.

Affectionate and social are good signs thou.

I like days when there's no fighting between Luna and Bast, she always wins anyway,
and gives Luna scars on his nose can we all just along?

Have a good day (((Caryl)))

good luck with the dosecrease!

Have you thought about trying mini-meals to try to manipulate his curves? You would split his daily food into several portions and feed at PS, +1, +2, +3. He seems to be bouncing off of his early fast drops, so flattening those drops might help keep him from bouncing quite as much. It would also allow you to increase his insulin dose to help even more with the high bounces. It's hard for most people to do this, but you already test a lot and you already know how to feed HC food to slow his drops, so you're already part of the way there.

unfortunately I'm not here three mornings a week so it wouldn't even be possible for me to do that. We're checking into his thyroid also this week to see if his medication needs adjusting. Alex is a big baby about his food..He loves a big meal. BUT if I could try it one day, I wonder how much this wold stress him out..and what would I do about Jackson? Don't want to stress him either since he was sick.

By what you said, he seems happy enough..hope he is okay ......so great that he is purring and being so affectionate...feel better Alex...
