She ate about 1.5 Tbsp Wellness Turkey Salmon breakfast. Had nearly 1 Tbsp Wellness chicken at around +8.75.

I'm so tired - going to try to grab a few more minutes btb.

Sounds like she's eating a little better - that's good news! And only one more day of work, then you can rest!

Re: 8/6 Kasha AMPS 153, 105 @ +2.5!

Well - I took 2 readings, got 115 and then double-checked (because that's the lowest reading we've had since the dental on Tues) and got 105... So - the official number I choose is 105... At + 2.5... I hope the trend continues,

She ate about 1 2/3 Tbsp Wellness Turkey Salmon for dinner. An absurd amount of food was consumed today - I left out a lot of food, I thought, and it was almost completely gone.

And now, much as I would love to rest and monitor Kasha tonight... I have to drive to see my horse, who apparently did not eat breakfast or dinner. Which is a bad sign. Not sure what I'll be able to see that the owners of the barn didn't see, but god forbid I get a break, apparently.

I'm just not sure how much more of this I can take. Going on 6 months of hell with my creatures now.

Oh man, hope Tigger is OK. Gosh Krys, I wish we lived closer, I'd help you out with either Tigger or Kasha, so you aren't stretched so thin. Maybe Tigger needs a dental too. Teeth floated?

Looks like Kasha is doing great though! So glad to hear she is eating so well!

Thanks, Myla.

Tig had his very expensive yearly float in October or November with his horse dentist and his teeth were in pretty good shape. When I got to the barn tonight, he was eating grain, so I took a canful of it out of his feed bin (they'd fed breakfast and dinner before realizing he wasn't eating) to make sure he didn't have too much. I gave him carrots, etc. I took the bute away in case it was upsetting his tummy. In retrospect, not sure if I should have done that. He put one foot out on the concrete and wouldn't put weight on it. I backed him into the stall - seemed fine. Tried to let him out on the concrete again - nope. Trembling little foot. He just had his feet trimmed on Wed night and I'm wondering if they are too short (he'd chipped them up badly and to smooth them out, they would be shorter) or if it's whatever made him so sore a month ago. So, I'm worrying about him now too.

Kasha still has one nostril that is mucus-y and I wipe it and try to unclog it. She doesn't like me doing this, but lets me. I wonder if her sinus/nasal issues are ever going to go away. She's not sneezing as much so far since the dental, but still has had a few sneezing fits or little sneezes here and there.

And - my BF or not BF (it's hard to tell) developed this crazy swollen, hot painful elbow yesterday. He went to the doctor today (the 2nd time in the 3 yrs I've known him) and was diagnosed with cellulitis, which is really scary to me. I'm such a germophobe/hypochondriac about certain things, and weird bacterial infections in the skin that could potentially become systemic - well, that freaks me out. Now he's on an A/B, prednisolone and naproxen. Geez...

((Krys)) Sorry you're in the middle of a dust up right now. When it settles, I hope all creatures and humans are doing well. Do what you can do, but remember to take time to care for yourself, too. Positive thoughts for all!
