Had a nice green surf last night, tested at +8 and he was at 135. Not sure what happened in the next 4 hours to make him triple the number to 314? Hopefully it will be short lived and we can get him back to blue at least in the AM. Will test again right before I leave for work...hopefully there's no diving, just dropping... ;-)

Sienne is right, that is a sign of a healthy working liver!

Forgot to post his +2 when I got to work, but he's already come down to yellow at least...Phew!!!

I should be headed home shortly....I'm DYING to see what happened with the feeder! I wish I had a camera on them to see how long it took them to get into it after I left. Lightning was laying right next to it, not seeming to notice there was food in the closed side (again, my way to trick them by leaving one side open). But Thunder....he knew there was food in the closed side and I had to shoo him out of the room so he wouldn't think about it. So who knows what happened after I left the house!!

Well, guess the kitties aren't as smart as they seem.....The open side of the feeder had the dish taken out of it, but the closed side (with the food) was intact! AND, I'm such a bad momma because I totally forgot that I took the battery out of the darn thing, so it never opened up either!!! Good lord! What a cluster I got myself into.

Oh well though, Lightning is doing good, just got some more food and now its bath time....and then I'm sure nap time after that. Seems to be his routine. No more testing until PMPS and I hope it's a good one!

I'm sure they're smart enough - they just left alone to make you feel guilty for leaving the battery out! Either that or they slept all day :lol:

Yup, I'm going with slept all day too! They definitely enjoy their cat naps :)

PMPS is 109! Woohoo!! Seems like he's doing what he did last night, so I didn't freak out and I actually just went ahead and fed and shot the 1.75. I figured if he's going to go into the 80's without food like he did yesterday, it's not going to hurt to go ahead and feed to try and slow that down right? Or am I totally off base with that? I didn't go for the 10% right away either, just started with 1/2 can 5% and going to see what he's doing at +1. Might be another poke fest this evening, but I'm happy to do it when its going to give me good info on how he's reacting to the food/insulin.
