Good Morning LL!!
(LOTS today Elsa! please.....), and Happy Fursday!
LL! It's is I, Elsa, Lil Bit, kitteh barista!, president and CEO of Coffee Cat! Life is GOOD! GUESS WHAT!WACKY WEDNESDAY is over!!! What a relief. I hope Lola and Bug didn't go too wacky. There have been no complaints so maybe all is well with Paw Prints Pizza. Today they is chillin' after yesterday's spillage of the whip cream in the kitchen. It was EVERYWHERE! Ollie and his sponges had to come to the rescue, again! Sure was fun though, slippin' and slidin' in all that whip. SWEET! so. well. anyways.
Coffee time! For today, I proudly offer Elsa's special 10 hour energy coffee, and Double shot Breve's, with beans from high in the Brazilian Mountains.... and for my mocha fans: a VENTI Quad Blueberry infused white mocha/mocha blend with white chocolate chips melted within, swirled with a raspberry puree, topped with a strawberry infused whip garnished with caramelized berry sprinkles and white chocolate curls and a caramel drizzle.......SWEET! OH! No worries, a dollop of 4 berry and vanilla and caramel swirl ice cream, on top of a dollop of fudge, topped with caramel and chocolate drizzle.... Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh....... mega good! TJ's dunking cookies and Cronuts are along for the ride!
I hope everyone had a great day yesterday. It was a fairly typical one for me and Nicholas, the energizer FISH. He sure does love the pool! We had a great time while there, did all the things we could, and then some. He just never tires of it all. Fatigue will win out anytime, never boredom, and that was how it was yesterday. It seems that I say that every week, but it it so true. The past few times we have been he has been trying to swim the length of the beach play area underwater. Wow, and impressive. It is so fun to watch, and I love to dish out those high five after each swim. Major cool as Nicholas would say. Here is what I posted last night about yesterday: "HI everyone! I hope your day has been a good one. It has been mighty fine here. After this mornings rains here the sun broke through about 10 or so - it has turned out to be an nice day after all: sunny, 73, I think. The clouds are moving in, supposedly we are due for nothing but rains tomorrow. It is a good ting we enjoyed some of today outside. We had a great day at the pool today. Alot of his wanting underwater stuff, along with play stuff too. That was fun, and a hoot to watch him try and swim the length of the beach area under water. He just wouldn't give up. It was cute/funny in that it isn't much more than a foot and a half deep, maybe two at the deepest part. oh wow on it all, and I can't wait to get him back into some deep water. He asked again to watch lessons today, so we did. Probably for a good 20 minutes. They were teaching Breaststroke and Backstroke today. He decided that he liked Backstroke best. too funny. Per the norm all classes wound up on the blocks at the end of class to do dives. Nicholas loves those: " look grammie! I wanna do that!", with smiles from ear to ear. As we are ready to leave he asks: "can I do lessons too?" Yupp, you betcha Nicholas! you gotta love it. We finished the day off on the trails. Half way through he decides he wants to walk in the creek. so off he went, came out with wet shoes, socks, and pant legs, laughing is head off. What a typical boy. At that point off came the shoes, he spent the rest of the "hike" in his socks, laughing all the time on how he was hiking in his socks. You gotta love that too. Truly a fun day today." No vacuum riding for Lola yesterday. however...  Instead we have a new form of O.M.G.'s! When I came home yesterday I discovered that we have an spider that decided to spin his web in my living room.   So.... he was about 1 foot down from the ceiling, maybe 5/6 feet off the ground. So there is Lola, who by now has seen it too, as this thing wasn't exactly small.   So here she is: ears back, tail twitching, mouth making "that sound" and up she flies trying to catch that spider. I SWEAR she leaped four+ feet off the ground, straight up, paws batting a mile a minute as she flies through the air.        She never did get it, as by now I'm thinking no.... no way.... i hate the crunching sound they make when they eat those things.... :? :? :? SO I put on my brave suit and captured the thing... Poor LOLA! She worked so hard to catch it....   Yesterday we had a power outage for about an hour in the morning. of course it was at the time I needed to feed Nicholas breffis. Lately he has been wanting waffles... so I had to be creative as the toaster and the microwave wouldn't work. Of course he had to have those toaster Eggo's: so breffis was cooked on the gas stove, with candlelight. An adventure! Nicholas loved it, after he was done running though the house making sure nothing worked. That alone was hysterical. "Grammie! EVERYTHING is broken!" yes, little man, that it was. ;-) Breffis by Candlelight What great day! GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO KITTIES!!!!!!!!!!!!! And Elsa and Bug - best hurry up! Lola seems to be one step ahead of you.
Have a great day everyone. I am back on DGS duty today. My DD, Erin, will be up today with both boys. We had hoped to go to the Ice Caves here, but the weather just isn't the best. So I will check with her once she gets here, come up with a back up plan... Whatever we decide it should be a great day! Having us four on an outing is a good day anyway! YAY! I will try and get to condos when I can.
