Gave upped dose of 2u., last nite....had some yellow at +3 & +5
2nd cycle of 2u, this morning

Pink is better than red, even if it's just barely. :smile:
Breffis eaten, fountain drinking done. Active this AM.
So at midnite I heard a thump at my bedroom window; too late for a songbird, and owls aren't that dumb.
A burglar, hoping I'll come unlock the window? ....Romeo?

It's Himself, standing up in the bay window, batting at a bat, flying back and forth catching bugs. :lol:

Glad it was only Checkers...whew....silly boy making noise at night like that! :lol:
Hope he brings himself down from that high pink today...I think he can do it...we might be hoping for change too quickly though...it is only the second cycle...but, let's see what Checkers thinks of the new dose....GO Checkers! :mrgreen:

I hope the bat was outside the window and not inside! We had a few on the inside and it isn't fun getting them out in the middle of the night. (DH does it - but if he can't on a try or two he'd rather go back to sleep - but knows I won't rest til it is outside!)

I hope Checkers decides that he wants to join the surfers today - a little stroll on down to the blue waters - or hang with the big kahuna's in the green.....

oh checkers ... you silly little boy .. batting at bats! What will you come up with next? A few weeks ago my grandma called my mom in the middle of the night, and said she had a bird flying around her room .. so my mom and dad went over there and they saw what she was talking about, but it wasn't a bird, it was a BAT! It came down through her fireplace .. my dad caught it and my grandma told my mom she was glad he did, cause she was scared they were going to think she was crazy :lol:

:lol: Yes Joyce, the bat was outside. I turned the outside light off, so the bat would move on to more lucrative bug areas.
I don't know why I even bother to check +2's. I know it will be similar to ps, and just a waste of a strip.

Beautiful cool sunny day here. Gonna get to the mall today, finally. Assuming +3 isn't showing a dive, like that's going to happen. :roll:

Devon, Checkers has caught bats in the screen porch. They sometimes come into a crack between house and screen room at dawn, to sleep. When the poor thing tries to get out at dusk, to hunt, it often comes into screenroom instead of going out.
Checks goes crazy and I can hear him, so usually get him in, before he catches it. It scares the wits out of me when he gets one, 'cause here in NY they can carry rabies. I think I have all the openings stuffed, but he still isn't allowed out on the porch when it's starting to get dark, just in case.

Yes, pink IS better than red! Come on down Checkers, yellow is better than pink...but blue would be even nicer!

I haven't had any bat encounters since I was a kid. We had a bat laying on the ground on our patio when I was very young, my parents brought us all out to look at it. I shudder to think about it now, what were they thinking? It was probably rabid! ohmygod_smile Checkers, leave those bats alone, buddy!

Could you look at your SS? I think you have last night's numbers on the wrong line.

Oh how lucky you are to still have bats. Here the "white-nose syndrome" has almost obliterated them. We used to see them all the time and they are so beneficial, not only because they eat mosquitoes, but also because they are wonderful pollenaters. Here's a tip for those of you who find them inside a room: simply turn out the lights, shut the door of the room they are in, and open the window. The bat will be gone in the morning.

Kewl a bat close by we are lucky white nose is not in Ky yet but when you go to a cave there is info everywhere just recently DH and I went into Mammoth cave we go hiking all the time there but it was hot and we had not done a tour in a long time and so anyway they ask if you have been in any cave anywhere in the last 5 years :shock: and I had been into another cave in IN squire boone caverns about a month prior so anyway you go tell them this and you have to disinfectant your shoes for 5 minutes and wipe down anything you had on that day with cleaner to try to avoid taking spores from cave to cave. This white nose is a serious thing. Anyway enough of bat talk great +7 Checkers :-D :-D
 
wow - interesting stuff on bats - today I have learned things!

nice day for Checkers! sorry for the bounce to that nasty red. Find the blues again Checkers, OK?
