Hoping everyone has a safe and peaceful day today. Prayers for all those struggling with medical issues.

August, in Florida. The hottest month here. I have no complaints though. I look at all the horrible things happening in other places of the country and I am grateful to just be dealing with the heat.
I agree, it is the hottest month here in Texas as well. I am grateful that I live in a peaceful rural area where my neighbors ride their horses past my house. I hope everyone and their fur babies stay healthy and have a wonderful day.

Hi Susan. I love that you live someplace where people ride horses past your house. I'll bet Texas gets darn hot in the summer. I see you had a little excitement with Phoenix this morning. Good to have Bhooma "in your court". She has been so helpful to me. Thanks for stopping by to check on Sus and I. Hope Phoenix stays in nice, safe numbers today.

Susie is doing well on the fat dose. :)

I'm in Minnesota so we are dealing with a severe drought, heat, and wildfires. This year has been awful for everyone, weather-wise. Just look at that hurricane hitting New England .. that's not something you hear often!
No, it has been 30 years since New England had a hurricane/tropical storm. I'm so sorry you are dealing with a severe drought, heat and wildfires. Look at what happened to those poor people in Middle Tennessee - flooding and deaths. Gosh, I think God is angry with us for destroying our planet.

Good morning Summer :). Checking in to see how you are all doing. Susie looking pretty in blue. I hope she doesn’t do a one of her deep dives she’s so famous for doing :D Hope things are okay with your mom and she is eating better. Wishing you all a calm, relaxing, drama free day. Surf safely sweet Susie  :bighug::bighug:

I agree, Summer. I am horrified by what happened in Tennessee with the flooding and people who have been lost (including the woman I just heard about whose two year old was swept away.) I am sad.

It's going to be hot here today.

There are only 30 days until the start of Fall! It will start to cool down. I can't wait for fall.

Thanks for always thinking of us, Adrienne. Dolly got a nice green mid day today. Susie gave me a nice, slow day. I just don't understand why she is getting a good day then a bad day then a good day then a bad day. She isn't diving like she used to. I think maybe I just need to step away from the site for a few days and concentrate on other areas of my life. I always say that - then I come right back. Hard to stay away from my friends.

It’s cold here Fall is on its way. There was a little snow yesterday further north.
Have a great day Summer, I hope Susie slides down safely
I am so happy to hear that you are getting some cooler weather. Snow to the north of you? That is great. Maybe it will help shut down the fires. Hope you and Molly are well.

I looked to see what you meant by a good day then a bad day then so forth. On the "bad days," you still see blues. On the good days, you get greens. If this pattern holds, you will have greens tomorrow.:D

Oh how I understand Summer. I get so wrapped up in Dolly and the forum that I get nothing else done. They told me FD is a full time job and it still is for me nearly 2 years later. Also, with age, I’ve become so much slower at getting anything done o_O …..and often my frustration levels :banghead::banghead::banghead: Have a good rest of your day Summer. Surf safely Susie. :bighug::bighug:

I can't wait for fall either. Cooler temperatures. College football. I always loved the holidays but they will be different this year with my Mom not being able to help much. I don't know if I can handle a whole Thanksgiving dinner for my family this year and that makes me sad. I am NO cook. And, all the Christmas decorations. I don't think it will be in me this year. Too much work.

Along with the frustration of Susie's BG I find I always need to check everyone's condos. I want to offer my support but it has become a bit of an obsession and I do need to step back to get anything else done. There are so many more good folks on the Lantus forum now that I spend most of my morning checking on everyone. I just have to step away - at least a little. Bless you, and everyone else, who have stuck by their kitties for so many years trying to get them into remission or even regulated. I am slower too. I do not have your medical issues and I know that has to make things harder for you - both physically and emotionally. You are always in my thoughts. I know you have issues and so does your Dolly. I just pray that you both will get relief. Thanks for being my friend.

Did you not make a post today? I didn't see one announcing that tomorrow is your "big day". Don't be modest. It is a time to celebrate!

Hah. Thank you. I'm very happy too. As well as extent grateful. I know I was lucky and I wish all the sugar kitties could head the same way.

I didn't test him today because I figured he deserved a break since it's official. Otherwise I would have posted.

I look forward to the pawty tomorrow, Acadaca. I don't blame you for wanting to give him a break. Just look how far you have come since June 14th. Wish all kitties could be as fortunate!

I do the same Summer. I don't leave as many messages but I do check on a lot of kitties. It is very time consuming, that and rereading all of the stickies :bookworm:. I am a natural worrier so I like to know everyone is doing okay :nailbiting: I see Susie has decided to go yellow today :cat:. Hope she drops down to blue but no big dips to keep you up late :banghead:.

Thanks for being my friend Summer and for being so thoughtful and caring. Have a nice evening. :bighug::bighug:

Just don’t do it. Tell everyone that you can’t do it by yourself and others need to step up and help or purchase a premade Thanksgiving meal, etc. There’s no law saying that you have to put up tons of Christmas decorations either. Don’t stress about it. Not worth it.

Thanks. It has been a bumpy ride, but I know how fortunate I am for it to go the way it did. I am prepared for anything to change, but I sure do wish other people could experience the same success. I know we're all spending so much time taking care of our kitties.

Susie is looking pretty good still today.

Thank you, Suzanne. It will be so weird not having Thanksgiving at my my Mom and my house this year but I swear, if I have to deal with all of it, I will go nuts. Yes, my brother and sister-in-law always bring a lot of stuff but it is the total house cleaning, preparing of the turkey, etc. etc. etc. I don't think I have the holidays in me this year.

I don't think I have met a more level-headed person on this site than you. You have shown the patience of a saint and are always so grateful. Even when I would have been demanding the OTJ trial, you were willing to wait until someone said it was okay. If anyone deserves to get their kitty into remission - it is you. I hope you won't leave us entirely when FCC is officially in remission. I would miss you.

That's very kind of you to say. Thank you. I think we all deserve to get our kitties there and I wish that's the way it worked.

I intend to stick around and poke my head in everyone's business. I've got to keep my eye on Susie in hopes that she learns how to surf regularly for you.

I agree with Our Dolly Girl. It's hard to say no and take care of ourselves sometimes. Just imagine what you would tell a friend to do or how you would feel about them thinking of taking on the types of preparations the holidays involve if they were in your shoes.

Some of the wisest people in my life have told me that it's important to either just not do things or ask for a lot of help when you feel overwhelmed. Obviously this doesn't apply to everything, but I think it certainly applies here.
