Good Sat Morning All.
Checkers is great. Ate 2 installments of breffis. Drank from bathroom sink, perfumed the air in my *office*. :-D
Is now napping.
His civvie brother, on the other hand is being a PITA. Won't come near Checks, stays at far end of house.
Maybe if I wipe some of vetty smell off with damp cloth, the silliness will ease at little.
Hope today isn't the day Checkers decides to take a dive, as I have to go out for the day, after checking +3.
I get to baby sit granddaughters today. Can't come hone for spot check, they live 60 miles away.

See you all later..Have wonderful Saturday.

Re: 8/21 Checkers~amps 347

Enjoy your sitting for the grandbabies - what fun! My daughter is due with her first in January. Enjoy the time. Just give Checkers the "I will be gone for a while so be good" talk, and no doubt he will. Have fun!

Hey Checkers! Come on over and hang out some - we will remove the vetty smell so that your civvie there won't stay away. They are so silly! See you!! ~ Mannie

Re: 8/21 Checkers~amps 347

So happy to hear Checkers is doing great and have fun babysitting I sooo want a grandchild but am starting to think its just not going to happen at least not anytime soon I have 3 sons 30, 28, 25 and none are dating sigh.............. by the time if and when I maybe have one I think I am going to be too old to move

Re: 8/21 Checkers~amps 347

Try wiping your civie down with a cloth (or a sock) and then using that cloth to wipe Checkers down and then wipe the civie down. You want to transfer the smells.

If you're worrying about Checkers while you're gone, leave plenty of food out.

Hi Barb!
I was reading back on some posts this week and saw you had a bit of a scare with Checkers. Im so sorry you both had to go through that. Im glad to hear he is doing better. Sounds like almost back to normal! Ya!

Hope you have a great day with the grandkids!

Keep feeling better Checkers!

Re: 8/21 Checkers~amps 347

Barb,

So glad that Checkers is feeling better. You must feel so much better too. Eventually the smell will wear off Checkers and is civie will come around. To move things along quicker use the tip that Sienne gave with the sock. That will help.

Have a nice day enjoying those grandchildren.

Re: 8/21 Checkers~amps 347....+3/202...+8/291

It was nice to see him come down at +3. Sheesh, he couldn't come down another 4 numbers, and be in blue?

Both sides of automat opened, but only a tiny bit of food was eaten. I wish I could find even one thing that he loves.....well, except tuna. I mean a dinner.
But then, the civvies didn't eat it either.
I forgot the trick of putting scent on each other. I did that with my litte one, when I brought him home from shelter, last year. First, I had to bathe him to get the rescue stench off. That helped a lot.
Then I rubbed a towel over all of them and they all had the same stink on. It still took a week for all the caterwauling to quit. Checkers bg shot sky high, and stayed high for 5 days, from stress. He had been diet controlled at that time. I didn't even have insulin to give him.

Carolyn, it is good to see you. Thank you for visiting our condo.

Tux must have heard me say 'bath', 'cause he was on the bed near Checkers, tonight.

Not such good pm number, but tomorrow's another day. :-D

Hope for some good numbers for Checkers' friends tonight.

Hi Barb, Checkers will bring his numbers down soon, so don't worry. Did you have a nice day with your grandkids? Stu has fallen in love with Merrick Cowboy Cookout (5% carbs). Maybe Checkers would like it, too.
See you tomorrow, I'm wiped out from all the driving I did today, and I'll bet you are, too!
