Lovin' Trix's AMBG today...much, much better little lady! Her appy has been great (anti-jinx in a huge way)...in fact, she seems to be moving ever so slightly closer to independent eating! These last few days, I would estimate she has eaten about 1/3 of her meals on her own, off the plate on the floor, rather than with me holding the plate. At the same time, I still have to "present" the food to her, but this is still a huge kitten step for her and her wonky eating habits! No matter, though, as long as she eats - even if I have to hold the plate - I am happy. I tell ya, the sound of my kitties eating is one of my all-time favorite sounds in the whole entire world.

My Dad's port installation went perfectly yesterday...Dad didn't even require any sedation at all! Now we wait for the pre-chemo meeting with the infusion team, and then the chemo begins. It is a scary thought, especially since he feels well right now and the side effects he may experience are an unknown, but at this point more than enough time has passed and it is time to kick some serious cancer a$$.

I'm off today...the first day in weeks that I'm not running to doctor appointments with my parents. I'm almost excited about cleaning my bathrooms and sweeping up dust bunnies...the house is a mess!

Thank you again, everyone, for all your thoughts, prayers, support, and hugs....LL is the most amazing place ever....it truly is.

Nom, nom, nom! We love that sound too. :-D :-D And we love that 81. Many vines for DF today. Have fun cleaning the house, it is truly satisfying when you can see dramatic results.

I gave Trix a little snack at +10-ish, and look at that beautiful PMBG that resulted  ! Not super-surprised, since we do know her pancreas luvs fuds, but it's nice to see nonetheless. I so wish I could it all the time, but my schedule and her refusal to use the autofeeder won't allow it. But, I will do it as often as possible, and I will have DH do it on the weekends while I'm at work and he is BIC.

:-D :-D :-D on everything except the housecleaning. You reminded me of a great Roz Chast cartoon in The New Yorker from years back: the cover of a magazine called "Bad Housekeeping". One of the featured articles was "how to deal with a 12-inch dust ball."

More vines for your dad.

Hugs and scritches,

Ella & Rusty

Love that PMBG - always nice to prove Mr. P is reporting for duty.

Argh - why did you have to mention dust bunnies?  Now you got me thinking about cleaning here too. But yeah for days off.

Vines still coming for your dad.

Trixie, you are lookin' FABULOUS today/tonight! Good job. cat_pet_icon Glad to hear that your dad's port installation went smooth. Your dad rocks!!!! Sending lots of prayers and vines for a side-effect-free chemo treatment. Hope you got everything done that you wanted to get done today!!! YAY for days off!

Another great cycle for Trixie and her amazing Mr. P! So glad to hear your dad's port installation finally got done, and that the chemo starts soon. I am continuing to send prayers, vines and comfort vines, this is still the worst part, waiting for chemo and waiting or the effects, it's unchartered territory. Just know, we're here for you to vent, cry or whatever you need, hugs to you and your family! :YMHUG: :YMHUG: :YMHUG:
