Re: 8/20 Checkers amps/295

Great new on Checkers.

I used to have a T-shirt that said "It's Good to Get Back to Normal" I went to school in Normal, Illinois. Too weird.

Re: 8/20 Checkers amps/295~410/+9..Stop Already

Can this terrible ascent be from an impotent pen? It was opened on 7/28....just 3 weeks ago. It is handled with kid gloves.
I'm going to use a new one tonight, whatever the answer. Holy Cow...his numbers are continually rising today.

He's not acting sick. Eats snacks. Drinks not exessively. Normal looking clumps in *his* corner of LB. Yes, he pees in the same corner every time.

Can Baytril do that?? He had it at 9AM.

295 amps...1.5
329+2
378+3.5
360+6
410 +9.....ouch!

Re: 8/20 Checkers +9/410..Stop Rising, Already

come on Checkers, come down already!
sorry, Barb, I can't answer your question in regards to baytril.

Re: 8/20 Checkers +9/410..Stop Rising, Already

Called clinic. Doc said this is to be expected. He was off insulin while hospitalized. I think it was four cycles he missed,
He said it isn't the Baytril or the insulin. He needs a 'while' to get regulated.

Re: 8/20 Checkers +9/410..

Yoo hoo! Checkers! Down here! I'm having a fun time on the blue floor today - come check it out! -Muffin

295 amps...1.5

404 pmps
Thinking maybe he just needs shed refilled?

Re: 8/20 Checkers +9/410..pmps/404

Barb:

4 cycles with no insulin puts a pretty serious dent in the shed. Remember, it takes 5 - 7 days to build a shed. It's no surprise that Checkers' numbers are higher than we'd all like to see. It's going to take a couple of days just to get the shed filled again and it's possible that Checkers may have lost some momentum. Just try to be patient.

I would suggest checking for ketones just as a precaution.

Re: 8/20 Checkers +9/410..pmps/404

Hi Barb, Don't forget that he not only depleted his shed, he was also sick, and therefore everything got out of whack. Checkers will get himself righted again soon. We are so happy that he is well again and home with you.

Hi Barb - to be expected after being sick, and without his juice for a while. I am sure that in a few days he can get back on track. It is so nice to read that he feels better, is eating, playing, all the normal things he likes and does. Have a great weekend, and enjoy time with your guy.
