Morning LL!! Missed Miriam's post last nite to start a new pen--This one is 31 days old--Think this is why Moonie's numbers are off--
Will start a new one tonite--COMPANY Is Still here(help Help help)--on the 12th day of having peeps here-cannot take much more!
DC leaving tomorrow dancing_cat flip_cat dancing_cat flip_cat dancing_cat flip_cat --We cannot wait

Calling DPS again today--Need someone to be testing my cat!!!!!! DH will be getting a lesson tonite if I have to hold him at gunpoint!!!!!
Even if he just gets a nadir, I would be happy--This DPS is great, but works a lot so her calling back needs work!! She Will call, but not till my anxiety level is at 100!
I know Moonie will be alright, DH knows she must eat, and he kinda knows the feeding routine--He says write everything down
HAHA!! How come I write everything for shopping down & he still calls me 10 times & makes mistakes???
MEN cat(2)_steam
Maybe someone here could PM me their phone number so DH could call in case of problems while I am away??
I would appreciate it very much...
Hope everyone has a great day--One more day till no company :-D :-D :-D HUGS from us!!

PM'ing you my numbah!

Re: 8/2 Moonie AMPS 252

I hear your frustration about the house guests, Roni. :-D

I pm'd you earlier, but not about help with testing. I'm not much good at teaching. words leave me, when flustered.

So tie hubby to a chair and make him watch you do it.

Re: 8/2 Moonie AMPS 252

You have my number, right? DH can call me anytime....make sure you explain it all to Moonie too....

My, you are early posting today...please try not to stress too much. You can show DH and you will feel better if he can test.
It will be just fine...don't worry...I bet you are just feeling frazzled cause your home life has been so upset lately.
Deep breaths! And again....breathe....
Now, start your demonstration and explain things to him.
Talk to you later!

Re: 8/2 Moonie AMPS 252

Roni--People often rise to the occasion and do what they know needs to be done and surprise everyone--themselves included. Hope you can destress!

Re: 8/2 Moonie AMPS 252

Hey Roni, Are you going to be out of telephone contact in Florida? Or did you simply forget that your DH can call YOU if he has a problem??? All kidding aside, I believe you already have my phone number and your DH can certainly call me if he needs a backup. But I'm sure all will go just fine. So start your new cartridge and don't worry about Moonie.
Back later,

Ella & Stu

Re: 8/2 Moonie AMPS 252

Hey Roni!

where ya going?

Looks like your DH is collecting a lot of numbers...I dunno about this..

And why are there always people over at your house? Everytime I pop in your condo you got people over?

Re: 8/2 Moonie AMPS 252

Good morning, my dear Friends! We missed you!! I took a look at Moonie's ss and saw that she did have a nice run of greens there a few days back, so that is good news! Today's amps, not so good, but she is coming down nicely!!

Oh, I can hear your anticipation in your words in regards to the departure of your last house guest!! I'm sure it will be heavenly when all is quiet. As far as your DH is on testing...you can always tell him that my 76 year old mother can test and also give Spot his shot...and if she can do this, he can do it, too. And Lydia is right, he just may surprise you and come through for you. I was pleasantly surprised at how well my mother handled everything while I was away. Just by watching me, she learned when to feed his low numbers and was able to handle it w/o calling anyone! The fact that she just did it ON HER OWN, was such a big step and I am so proud of her!!

Re: 8/2 Moonie AMPS 252,+3~185

Thanks for all your kind suggestions & offers for help with my going away--I Love you guys!!! You so Get Me!!
Does anyone know which litter box I can get with a low entrance???
That is what Moonie needs, as she has litter on her leg now everyday because the entrance is 7 1/2" high & she has her leg issue..Lower opening will help a great deal...
They could use a new one anyway, but dont know what brands have any..Good reason to go on a mission today by myself

Re: 8/2 Moonie AMPS 252,+3~185

Have a good time on your trip, DH will step up. Mine did (even though he hates the sight of blood) and now tells me what to do.

I know some people use a big plastic staorage container and cut a hole in the side for whatever access height is needed. A step outside could help too, maybe as simple as a piece of 2x8 that's covered.

Re: 8/2 Moonie AMPS 252,+3~185,+6~144,+10~209

DH watched this test--Will try tomorrow nite when she gets her pm test and he will try to do it..I am glad he could stay that close & Moonie didnt flinch with him next to me on the cat napper.
At least he is willing & watching! YAAAA!!

Re: 8/2 Moonie AMPS 252,+3~185,+6~144.+10~209

Roni, good that DH is willing to learn.
I use big plastic storage bins from the home store, and use a hacksaw to cut the opening in front. I then put duct tape all around the opening, so it's not sharp edges.
It's a pain, but Checkers likes to spray in the back corner, and these boxes are nice and big and tall.
I like the idea of a small step, or ramp, for Moonie to get into the regular box.

Re: 8/2 Moonie AMPS 252,+3~185,+6~144.+10~209

Hi again, Roni,
Stu's litterbox, which is about 6 or 7 years old, is only about 4 inches high without the open lid that snaps around the edges (with the "lid", it's about 5 inches high). It is a standard design that I still see in pet stores. It works just fine. I use a Johnny Cat liner and the lid snaps down over the edge of the box + liner. This lid is a nice design feature, especially for a cat--like Stu--who vigorously spends at least 5 minutes after making his contribution getting the litter "just right". It keeps the litter in the box.
Good news that your DH is now learning how to test (and shoot?). Enjoy your evening.

Ella & Stu

Let's not get carried away--DH just watched, let's see tomorrow nite if he can do a test--
Think the most important is the nadir--You agree?? Morning he is useless--later better! I would be most interested in her nadir which is about +4-+5..
OPENED A New Pen--maybe it will help...I'd be fine if she stays like she is..
Spoke to DPS & she said if DH cant do test she will come by Thursday--
ALL OK!! These two will use up about $25.00 in strips, you watch
Have a great dream, good health & sound sleepus--We HUG you & Ni Ni LL!
