He was taken off fast acting some time yesterday afternoon.

They gave him 15 units last night and 14 units this morning. The night shift vet was very brief as she was rounding to the day time vet and wouldn't answer a lot of questions.

We have a more urgent issue. By the vet school not feeding him and allowing his BG to shoot up to 700-750, can that, did that cause permanent kidney damage?? I am asking to join the Tanya's CKD group too.

His creatnine has never been over 3. More like 2.5 was his new normal. After 48 hours on fluids, his creatinine is now 4.74 and his BUN is 3.71. His kidneys are worse in just this 48 hours.

First, I do not know the dose they gave him. I will find out in a couple hours. The night shift vet was very brief as she was rounding to the day time vet and wouldn't answer a lot of questions.

Poor baby. He needs a break already πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™

I don’t understand why they don’t feed him 🀬🀯
I really hope they can correct what’s going on πŸ€πŸ€πŸ€πŸ€πŸ€πŸƒπŸƒπŸƒπŸƒπŸ€πŸ€πŸ€πŸƒπŸƒπŸƒπŸ€πŸ€πŸ€πŸ€πŸƒπŸƒπŸƒπŸƒπŸƒ

One cycle or two of high numbers does not cause kidney damage. I asked Neko's IM vet about high numbers and he said that temporary high numbers are fine, you just don't want to be in prolonged high numbers. He could have been quite dehydrated, which will temporarily increase the kidney values.

Could you put the doses given him last night and today in the spreadsheet? 15 units is too much insulin, as he's shown already. And they scolded you about giving too much insulin. :banghead:. Did you ever find out how much fast acting insulin he was given?
