Hi Everybody.....We're Home
On the way home, he was trying to push the carrier door open, and kept rubbing his face on my hand thru the door. :thumbup
He walked all thru the house and checked to see if everything was where he left it, and made sure his scent was on anything he could reach to rub on. :lol:
He ate some kibble before I could pick it up. I let him...this time. He ate a bit tuna. Peed in box.
All is well in his world. :-D

Paperwork says "possible infection" as diagnosis. We won't really know, unless he has a relapse, and then will do ultrasound.
So I will be hovering for a few days. He gets a Baytril daily.

Thank you all, for your support. I appreciated it more than I can say. :smile:

I'm so happy to read Checkers is home!!!
I bet he's so excited to be back amongst his things

Its so good to hear your good news. :-D And I liked reading about how Checkers had to check out your house. I'm so glad he's home and feeling good.

Checkers doesn't trust me today. He's been under the bed a lot, and just when I was starting to panic, he heard me pour kibble into brother's dish, and came running. :lol:
I got a little food into him today....no not kibble, but he never had a big appetite to begin with.
So, this afternoon, back under the bed. *sigh*....Later, I yelled "TUUUUUUUUUUUNA"... no Checkers. Oh crap, he must be sick again.
Tried another tactic...clicked the clicker and he came running, because that means tuna. :lol: He must not have heard me yelling it. I think he just doesn't trust me now.
So fast forward to pm test time....he's under the bed. Tried the broom trick, he didn't care...growled at the broom. Aha...he doesn't know the dust mop. Sure enough, he saw it coming under the bed and ran out into the living room. So got him tested an shot.
He missed 4 cycles at the clinic because he didn't eat much.
I shot the normal 1.5. I had to take the chance because I waited too long to come and ask
He's been in high 300's all day

He might think you are going to take him in his carrier again...he will trust you again soon enough.
Just watch him though...lol...I KNOW you will be so I don't even have to say that!

Welcome home Checkers!! I'm sure he's afraid you're going to take him back to the vet, and he isn't liking that idea! I hope he feels more relaxed soon. I'm so glad he's feeling better!

I am so glad to read that Checkers is HOME! YAY! He will be back to his old self soon, and out from under the bed. :-D He's just telling you who is boss.

Loved reading your condo today - fun stuff. Enjoy having your boy home.
 
Great play-by-play of today's events! I'm glad you didn't mess up the house too much in his absence. :lol:

Tomorrow is another day and I hope Checkers gives you some nice numbers. So glad he's home!
 
Hey Checkers, I'm so happy you're home! It's not fun to sleep over at the vet's. Come up to my camp tomorrow. We're going to surf, cook and hunt mice. Hope you can make it. My beans are going paddling, so we kitties will have the cabin to ourselves.

Happy to read that Checkers is home. After Willow's DKA hospitalization he didn't trust me... or even like me for that matter lol. Once he was finally settled in and sure we won't going back to the hospital yet again, he decided I was great again... still beneath him on the totem pole... but great nonetheless. :)
