+Last night must have gone well. I came home and at +4 Harley was 240. He woke me up about 1:30 am crying and pawing at me - +7 127. Gave the guy tuna and some FF and all is well.

Not home today too much so it may be hard to get many tests in. Have a good day.

Nice AMPS Harley....guess that 127 made you hungry last night. What a smart boy to wake Mama up! (and what a smart mama to GET up and not just roll over!) Nice job you two! not a bad place to start out today! Just a wee bit on the high side of yellow, so good things could happen here today!

Well, apparently Harley did not like yellow so he went all the way to red. If this was a contest - I would win. I guess I will need to set my alarm for +5pm to catch a low bg.

I am seeing more red today that I want to. Don't know why - 6.5 units lantus and food as usual. He really must not like the yellows and greens

I really am not understanding these numbers. I know he may think that he has fallen too low but 400's all day?

240 AMPS
471 +5.5
453 +10.5
417 PMPS

Tonight I am getting up to feed Harley at +5.5. Hopefully that will help the low swing at night.

I think he's just bouncing off of the blue last night. It can take up to 72 hours for a bounce to clear although it looks like Harley's numbers are coming down already and it's the end of the cycle.

Does it make sense to get up at the 5.5 and give a little LC to stop the real low drops?

I noticed that your SS said no test taken last night at PMPS time....
You did shoot last night though, correct?
Seems as if he is really bouncing from something...is he acting okay? Hope he comes down....

I did not get home until 10 pm which is 4 hours after his shot. My neighbor gives his shots when I am not at home. She does a good job but has firmly stated she does not want to test or learn how to test. Even the tech that I had before this would not test. When I got home, I did a test immediately. last night was +4 240 (when I got home), +7 127 and today AMPS 270.

When I have to be gone over the shot time - it gets hard. No one that I know of wants to learn how to test..they all can do the shots.

it does look like he is bouncing off of something. Hopefully he will clear it out as quickly as he usually does.

Well, I am sorry for what you are dealing with Pattie. So much more of a challenge then for you... :YMSIGH:
Ok, well, we can only then "guess" at what his numbers were when you weren't there...
So, there are some hours this morning and then last night at PMPS...if he went low at any of those points then that would explain the bounce to reds...even the +5 last night was lower than he is used to, right?
Maybe a more experienced person will be able to say...but for now...you are doing great! Good if you can get that test tonight too...

Can you maybe get a +3 tonight and maybe give him a snack...that will give you a good idea in the PM cycles if he is on his way down but tonight it might not be much of a drop...ya never know though!

Have you thought about asking if there's an FDMB member in your area? Maybe you could barter for test and shoot services.

I worry that with him living in the red zone so much that the kidneys will be affected. He is acting fine. Right now he is running around the house and jumping on his column (right by the comuter). I think he is acting cute because he wants more food.

Harley just woke me up again - before the alarm went off and he was 177. I gave him some cooked chicken mixed with MC Special Kitty (4 carbs on chart). Hopefully this will help with the red numbers in the AM.
