FIRST A QUESTION...
How do I combine posts so that I only have one thread a day?
I would like to reply to a few people but if I do so, it will bring up at least 2 other days worth of threads.
I woke up with Uncle sleeping draped over my outstretched arm this morning. Gave him some pets and he purred which was really nice and hasn't happened in a long time. I am however still very concerned about him and not sure what is going on.
His appetite is off but I can get him to eat by adding freeze-dried chicken crumbles in his food and I just found a can of Natures Variety Instinct Original Rabbit that he loved which I stopped giving him in March because of the higher P content.
After he ate last night his chest/abdomen was kind of heaving like very heavy breathing. He also woke me up in the middle of the night. I thought he wanted food but when I offered it he wasn't interested and instead went to urinate. He did that same heaving thing.
This morning I decided to stop giving him the Zeniquin. Between the info Marje has given me about treating kidney infections and the way he has been acting since he's been on it, I'd just like to take it out of the mix right now.
I did get the 3rd round of Sotalol, 1st dose of Enalapril and Vetmedin in him today. He actually had no issue eating those when I put them in a little ball of the rabbit.
I hope his breathing/heaving is more from intestinal/stomach distress and not fluid from heart stuff. He does look a bit different than his brother did who has CHF And many episodes of midnight runs to the ER for oxygen and lasix injections.
My head is really spinning and I am feeling a lot of trepidation again.
I wish I could feel more confident as a caregiver.

You've figured out how to manage multiple issues, with all the associated meds, you are loving and caring for Uncle, and he shows you how grateful he is for your love and care, by giving you a cuddle and purr. Don't second guess yourself, you have a lot on your plate, and I think you are handling it beautifully
! Uncle is lucky to have you
