FIRST A QUESTION...
How do I combine posts so that I only have one thread a day?
I would like to reply to a few people but if I do so, it will bring up at least 2 other days worth of threads.

I woke up with Uncle sleeping draped over my outstretched arm this morning. Gave him some pets and he purred which was really nice and hasn't happened in a long time. I am however still very concerned about him and not sure what is going on.
His appetite is off but I can get him to eat by adding freeze-dried chicken crumbles in his food and I just found a can of Natures Variety Instinct Original Rabbit that he loved which I stopped giving him in March because of the higher P content.
After he ate last night his chest/abdomen was kind of heaving like very heavy breathing. He also woke me up in the middle of the night. I thought he wanted food but when I offered it he wasn't interested and instead went to urinate. He did that same heaving thing.
This morning I decided to stop giving him the Zeniquin. Between the info Marje has given me about treating kidney infections and the way he has been acting since he's been on it, I'd just like to take it out of the mix right now.
I did get the 3rd round of Sotalol, 1st dose of Enalapril and Vetmedin in him today. He actually had no issue eating those when I put them in a little ball of the rabbit.
I hope his breathing/heaving is more from intestinal/stomach distress and not fluid from heart stuff. He does look a bit different than his brother did who has CHF And many episodes of midnight runs to the ER for oxygen and lasix injections.
My head is really spinning and I am feeling a lot of trepidation again.
I wish I could feel more confident as a caregiver.

Hey don't ever feel that you're not a good caregiver please the fact that you're on here speaks volumes. I'm not big on giving advice cuz I'm still getting it myself but I will tell you how to combine the post. How I do it and I'm hoping it's right it's been working so far is I open the last post, then I copy the URL, next I close that out and then open The Forum and click on post new thread. When that opens I put in the header then go down to the body of the message and that's where I paste yesterday's url. Then I just faced down a couple bars and post a message

Here's what I see...you are doing an amazing job! :bighug: You've figured out how to manage multiple issues, with all the associated meds, you are loving and caring for Uncle, and he shows you how grateful he is for your love and care, by giving you a cuddle and purr. Don't second guess yourself, you have a lot on your plate, and I think you are handling it beautifully:cat:! Uncle is lucky to have you :bighug:

Barbara, you are doing the best you can for Uncle and that's all any of us can do. He is so lucky to have you. Sending more prayers. :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:

I'm not sure about combining the posts, but you can start to reply in the other one and then copy and paste it here and not click post in the other one.

The only way to combine posts is to cut and past from the previous post into the current thread. I'm not sure whether a Moderator can help you with combining. Personally, I would tag the person you're responding to and maybe give the date of the condo along with your response.

All of us second guess ourselves. Every time there's a new twist in the road, I would have a million questions I forgot to ask the vet or I would become a helicopter mom. It's normal. It's what makes you a good caregiver -- you care.

@Barbara & Uncle -- I wonder if you should be giving all of the meds at the same time. Most of the meds you're giving Uncle are cardiac meds, although Enalapril is the only one that's human. Vetmedin is an inotrope and Sotalol is an anti-arrhythmic. You could ask your pharmacist about the combination. Alternatively, if you live anywhere near a vet school, if they have a pharmacy, you could try getting hold of a veterinary pharmacist and ask about the medication interactions. Just as an FYI, many anti-arrhythmia medications interact with other meds so be careful if you add anything. Separating the meds by time may help with eating. I didn't look up the side effects to see if any of them effect appetite but that may be something to look into.
