Whew! I've had an insane couple of weeks! It was our year-end at work so I've been crazy-busy. On top of that, Michelangelo decided to stop eating last Friday. I took him into the vet on Saturday and it was a comfort to have the vet reassure me that he definitely did not think it was diabetes-related. He also complimented me and said that Michelangelo was one of the best regulated cats he'd seen. They checked him out and gave him some fluids and a baytril shot and $150 later sent me home with some clavamox (which he threw up when I tried to give it to him).

I had to take him back into the vet yesterday because he still wasn't eating. :YMSIGH: After another $500 in tests, the end result was, "we've ruled out anything serious or life-threatening, but we still don't really know what's wrong." At this point, I'm leaning toward colitis, but he's started eating again this morning.
:RAHCAT

I'm expecting him to be high tonight because I didn't shoot him this morning, but I'm okay with that because I'm just so happy he's eating again and we made it through this crisis! cat_pet_icon

Hi Kay!! Happy to see he's eating for you! That was the important thing to get "fixed" as soon as possible!! Did something you tried finally spark his appetite or did he just finally decide you weren't going to leave him alone so it would be easier for him to just eat it himself? :-D (I love that you guys grow your own ...cat grass that is...lol)

Nice numbers lately, but knowing he's not been eating much, it'll be interesting to see how he does now that he's back on his fuds

Hope he continues to do as well and you can relax some!
