Nice number to start the morning for my big boy. With these lower numbers he doesnt seem real hungry right away in the morning. Maybe he'll slim down a bit.
I picked up new insulin from the pharmacy (Walgreens) the other day and noticed it had 3 pieces of tape holding it closed. It looked like it had been opened. I checked inside and everything looked fine. Thinking more about it I looked closer today and under Spikes sticker with his info is another persons sticker with har name and dated July 6th. It looks like this was returned. After paying $195.61 I dont want returned insulin. How do I not know it wasnt sitting in their car for hours getting hot. Spikes doing so well right now Id hate to put him in jeopardy with bad insulin. Plus would they even believe me if I told them it was bad after using it?

Very nice numbers for Spike!
I would definitely take that insulin back to the pharmacy and demand another one. You don't know for sure if it was handled properly...even if they say it never left the store, they could have pulled it out and left it sitting there, waiting to be picked up. I'd make one hell of a stink if they didn't give me a new one and I'd be calling everyone left and right....managers, owner, corporate, television, papers. It doesn't matter if you used it once or twice, you just noticed it, it's not like you go around looking for things like that, you know. Good Luck, if you decide to take it back!

Good morning,Janice!
Hmmm,I think if You didn't open it I would returned insuline back. You payed lots of money for it.
Ya,how You know it's not spoiled and at the same time it can be perfectly fine.
Spike is doing so well that would be a shame to spoiled it with bad insuline.

Nice green number Spike.
Janice I absolutely would take the insulin back to the pharmacy. I am not even sure they are supposed to sell any returned medicines. How can they be sure it has not been tampered with. If they give you a hard time call Susan Wornick.

Great amps for Spike
As for the insulin, how can they even sell returned insulin? Isn't that a safety hazard? I'd return it just to be safe

Re: 8/12 ~ SPIKE ~ AMPS ~ 65

I agree about bringing that back...EEuuuwww....how can they DO that? Let us know what happens, okay?
Love those AMPS Spike!

Talked to the pharmacy and they said it wasnt returned..just not picked up by a customer. She had no idea why it was opened and taped with pharmacy stickers. Manager is in this afternoon and is going to look at it (I left it there, not sure this was a good idea). Told her I needed a new one by this afternoon! They didnt even have one in stock and would have to get one from another store. Im sure whoever filled the script will remember since they dont get very many. To be continued...

What a lovely AMPS for Spike. Yeah, I'm with everyone else, return the insulin. I can't believe they would do something like that. My first set of carts was open, but that is because the pharmacist (sp?) wasn't sure if that is what I wanted and as I described it she opened it to make sure. But also told me that she opened it when I went to pick it up. No other label was on it.

Have a good day Janice.

Re: 8/12 ~ SPIKE ~ AMPS ~ 65

I hope you are able to get the new insulin by this afternoon. I can't believe you were even sold insulin that had been tampered with, even if it was the pharmacy that did the tampering! Good luck!

Got a brand new box of insulin. Manager said the other got damaged during delivery but the product was fine...not in my book. If Im paying all that money I want my box perfectly unopened!

whew, I'm glad you got new juice. So the delivery guy who damaged the first one just happened to drop it onto a customer label?
