Normal morning here, everyone napping. Ahhhhh, the life of a cat. :smile: Bean was pleased with amps..+2 had risen to 340, but that's not unusual. Will wait a while and see what he's doing, and head to WalMart to spend the gift cards I got for my b-day.
Hmmm, how come they're not from Victoria's Secret?? :lol: How well my kids and sis know me. :mrgreen:

Wonderful day All; hope to see some greens and pretty blues from kitties. :smile:

I am in the St. Petersburg Walmart usually... LOL...no chance we will run into each other! But I AM keeping them afloat so just mention my name when you get there....they will know me I am sure. The money I spend there between my test strips and whatever...syringes too...well, they usually have good quarters thanks to me. Enjoy yourself!
Nice start in the yellow...maybe he will come down today after that silly +2. I hate +2s ...unless they are very low at PS time. :lol:

ETA: I like to go to the blood drive when it's at Walmart....i get a $10 gift certificate and I go right over and buy more test strips with my blood money! My kitties just roll their eyes when I act all weak and show them my bandage... LOL

Pat, my son and family just came back from Siesta Key. Are you near there? They are WallyWorl lovers too.
Actually WM is the only place to shop that's not an hour drive for me. I live in the boonies. The pharmacies don't sell inexpensive meters and test suppies, for emergency runs to the store. I get my Presto strips online.

I'm headed to Janet's list now, to find different foods to try, while I am near a farm supply store. So far, I know some like Merrick's Cowboy something.
I already put magnifying glass in my purse to read labels.

I was gone most of the day, so don't know what his nadir was, but it's 222 right now. Yellow ain't so bad; it's light yellow. :lol:
Gees, the vet office didn't have EVO canned, and the farm store didn't have any low carb Merricks. WalMart's Special Kitty was only a bit cheaper than FF. I really wanted to try something different for him.
I got his test result printout, and keep asking myself how a cat so healthy is diabetic. Liver is perfect, but doc said test would show only if pancreas was really bad.
So I says to him, "you couldn't tell me that, $100 ago? That's what I had the tests for". He laughed...he should, he's got my hundred bucks. :roll:

I hear you with the vet bills. Gabby's dental made me grateful that I had some extra money from some training that I did a month or so ago.

I do like PetFood Direct for their prices. The hassle is that if you want to try a new food, you typically have to buy by the case.

Housekeeping detail: I think your SS needs to be updated.

Thanks Sienne, I tend to put it off because of Google freezing my 'puter and holding it hostage. I'd rather play in condos. :-D

Hi Barb, Too bad you couldn't find the foods you wanted. The Merrick is Cowboy Cookout (5% carbs). Tess sent me the values today for their Surf 'n Turf and Southern (something or other; I want to say "comfort", but that's not it!), both of which have low carbs (3% range) and also low phosphorus.
Thanks for looking in on Stu. He had a pretty good day after the early morning.

Hmmmmm, we seemed to be stuck in a holding pattern today . Wonder if he dropped any, while I was gone.
Ella, there is only one store within an hour's drive, that carries Merrick, and they had only high carb stuff.
I found carrots and sweet potatoes in every one of the cans I looked at, but not positive that was Merricks.
Oh well, I bought a couple boxes of his favorite flavors FF.
I'm off to see how everybody's days went. :-D
 
Checkers is coming down nicely today. :smile:

It probably was the Merrick foods you found. Most of them do have veggies.
