I spoke with Jo this evening to see how Dusty was doing, particularly to check if she'd made a vet appointment to get the mats shaved, to check his heart condition, and so the vet could do a fructosamine (no home testing except for what I've done).
Jo reports Dusty is much more active, even going up to the 2nd floor of the house. He is chewing away at the mats and may have ridded himself of several ... just in time for a vet visit tomorrow, of course.
