Yesterday's Condo

I am so glad yesterday is over. Gabby finally forgave me at about 2:00 AM. She snuggled and purred as opposed to walking away or ignoring me. I have a whole new appreciation for beans who struggle to get food into a cat who's getting insulin. At one point, the kitchen floor was littered with bowls containing Wellness (with gravy), baby food (with syrup), baby food (with gravy), Wellness + baby food + gravy, just gravy, and then there was Gizmo's bowl. Gabby would stare at the bowl, maybe take a lick, and walk away. Sometimes she would eat something. She got a couple of syringes full of baby food, one of syrup, and then I tossed in the towel and threw an appetite stimulant down her throat when her numbers hit the mid-60s. The bowls were cleaned about an hour or so later. And she ate well this morning.

The effects of the anesthesia seem to be minimal at this point. She looks more alert and is more social. She spent a bit of time in the cube. She's sleeping at the moment which is something Gabby's bean should be doing. I'm exhausted.

Are you able to get a nap in this morning Sienne?
I am glad she finally forgave you...but she waited till 2 am? These females are just too smart! Yes, it IS frustrating when they walk away from the food. Shadow does that a lot!
The food syringe is my friend and I am so thankful that I have that.... :YMSIGH: Very frustrating. I mentioned in my condo that he was eating yesterday when he was low..it was such a welcomed change!
I hope she will feel better and better as the days go by...well, we know she will. SO glad you got that taken care of...hope you cn get a little rest today...

Welcome to our world! :lol: Really glad she didn't decide to stay, though, and that her appy is back. I had a good chuckle over the kitchen floor picture - we are, sadly, too well-acquainted with that!

I am happy to hear that Gabby is world is better now....thanks to you.
I am also grateful about Putty's appetite. I have only had that problem with him twice in 7 years and it was not easy. I give so much credit to those that experience it every feeding time.

I hope you can get some much needed sleep.

I'm not happy with that PMPS number. I shot about 15 min. early mostly because Gabby wanted to eat, NOW! Given how hungry she's been all day, I would have thought her numbers would be low. She would follow me into the kitchen and cry for food. She is not being patient with testing.

I've yet to get a nap.
