Eleanor is neg for ketones, but is having terrible diarrhea. I hope the SEB kicks in, her bottle of metronidazole expires this month and I have no money for a refill. Barfed up a small furball this morning and is feeling generally bad. Maybe her BG will come down a bit. She was feeling so good yesterday.
Have been praying she won't have to go up to 5 units because I can't figure out the dose on the SureComfort syringes. The marks for the numbered doses, such as 5 units, are two to three times thicker than the unnumbered marks. Plus the distance between 4.75 and 5 units is way less than the distance between lesser units, such as 3.75 and 4 units. Between my vision and shaky hands, I can't seem to work with the calipers any more.
Oh well.

I have to use the calipers to get a focus point on the syringe and then load the syringe and expel until I hit my focus point...sometimes midline, sometimes top of line or whatever depending on the anomalies of the syringe. Still, it's not the most precise way. But with only two hand, two pair of high powered reading glasses and as much light as I can muster at 5:00 a.m., it's the best I can do.

Sure hope Eleanor feels better again soon.
