I'm watching the ac guy clean out the evaporative coil, and it's full of cream tabby hair 🤔
 
Jobs I would never want to work: air conditioning repair, especially in the deep south (inevitably HOT; the tech told me he accidentally left his all steel knife in a 149 degree attic, and when he went to pick it up, it burned so badly it blistered his hand); plumber (just...gross); electrician (again, often hot and in dirty spaces); roofer (no need to explain); any job that requires crawling under the house in a crawl space with snakes.

I guess there's a reason why those jobs pay such good money! To be fair I wouldn't want to do those jobs either so I'm glad that there are those that do!
 
Hopefully its over soon and Jude forgets it even happened 🤗
It's soo stressful having workers come to the house. Flare gets very scared and hides under the furniture for hours, while Xander is extremely curious and in the way. The last time the plumber came by, Xander was in the bathroom with him supervising 😄

Buying my first home built in the 60s I had to learn to do practically everything myself to afford it, and I absolutely loved that feeling of working with your hands and self reliance. But once the Louisiana summer comes around, that completely changes 😮‍💨

Oh, well Xander and Hazel could run a work crew! I finally had to put her in another room to keep her out of the ac closet and away from the tech. Jude keeps looking at the tech like he's Godzilla.

Poor Jude ❤️ I’m sorry he had such a stressful day with the big scary Godzilla man in his safe space. I can sympathize with him, I don’t like people in my space either and often hide too. 😆

His numbers are looking really good lately 💚 hope the AC has been fixed and you guys are cool and comfy now.

Thanks, Kat. It has taken most of the day for things to cool back down, but we're pretty much back in the zone now.

Poor Blair! Jude is also not a fan of thunder. Jude is a fan of food and uninterrupted naps and hiding in the back bedroom, which is completely off limits to him now because he's urinated on several pillows in there.
