My stomach is in knots when I test for these preshots lately.

I'm really feeling like this dose can't be right, it's too small and her numbers have been higher than on the previous doses. I was so liking the mostly greens I was getting from the bigger dose... I know we went down to 56 yesterday, but maybe that was an aberration. She was in the blues all last night - up to 141 when I last tested around +5.

I took Sienne's advice to give a snack around +9 and sacrificed my sleep to get up at +9ish for a snack (3 hours after going to bed). Gave 1 tsp or so FF and then went back to bed. There's no way she'll get up on her own to eat from the autofeeder then.

Still sneezing. Had a sneezy fit while eating breakfast (ate pretty well - not sure how much, but an acceptable amount). Couple of little sneezes after. I wish knew what was going on. I'll give her some more antihistamine before I leave for tbp.

Hi Krys,
It's still not a bad AMPS, but I understand where you're coming from as I go thru the same thing when Mags has a high AMPS. Wait and see how it goes the rest of the day. I take it Kasha isn't using the auto feeder. I still haven't bought it, as I had it one time and returned it. How is the heat today? Nine days before my trip, and I am worried.

She'll eat from the autofeeder, but she won't get up at +9 to eat from it. She can't hear it open and she usually gets up around +10 or +11 (or not until I get up), so odds are more likely she'd eat during the 2 hours before her shot, if at all. Unless I bring her food, there's no way I can make sure she has her snack.

I'm worried that I might have given a fur shot. I thought I smelled the tiniest bit of lantus on her - but when I tried again, I couldn't smell it on her anywhere... Maybe I had some on my hands or just had the smell stuck in my brain. She was 149 at +2...

I'm also worrying a lot about this dose... I want the steady greens and blues again. I'm worrying about her sneezes and what could be causing them. I'm a bundle of worries right now - maybe I'm just feeling very emotional lately, I don't know.

I hate that I have to be away from her when I just want to monitor and see how she's doing.

try not to worry too much, I know its hard but Kasha is doing great. With the exception of her sneezies, I wonder if she's allergic to something anything new in the house? New detergent?

No - I'm racking my brain to figure out what could be new... Not new detergent, and every cleaning product in the house is all natural, scary-chemical-free - but nothing new was introduced, as far as I know. She'd been sneezing a little, but it worsened after the grooming - I wonder if there is still some residue of the dry shampoo or perfume on her? I've tried to wipe her down with a warm washcloth several times (she hates that)... not sure what else to do. Washing her is NOT an option and I don't even know if that's the problem...

oh probablly you hit the nail on the head. Most likely some residue. How about baby wipes? Non sceneted of course, I use that to wipe my boys' bums sometimes. maybe you can wipe her down with those.
 
Numbers are creeping up there. No idea if she touched green at all since yesterday morning. I hate this dose. I hated it in April when we tried it and her numbers skyrocketed because she had the UTI... I hate it now.

I also hate that I can't be home to check up on her. Work has been very frustrating lately - lots of people wasting lots of time because of a lack of planning. And all I want is to come home and check on her.

Still sounds congested, but ate well. Almost 2 Tbsp dinner at the first go - pretty good. Don't know if the PS has food behind it - I left out a can of FF at lunchtime when I ran home to check on them. It was completely gone when I got home a little bit ago, but no idea when it was finished up or by whom.

She just took off and ran out the kitty door-hole to the front porch... It's only 90 degrees outside now, and the porch is enclosed and pretty hot.
