Maybe this is some glucose toxicity along with a bounce. Maybe I held him too long at 4.25 units but I was trying to be patient for a change. It’s hard to know with Max, if he gets too far past seeing green, toxicity sets in. This is why it’s hard to be patient. It is just hard to know with Max. If I can ever get him back to seeing those straight blues and greens again! This makes me sick.

I totally understand your frustration. There was a series of days where Mikan will hit bright reds wither higher dose! There are so many weird feedback loops that mess up their BGs when all we are trying to do is to stabilize at the reasonable and safe level!

Lori, I'm no expert, but something tells me that it's Max's time to recalibrate the system and the feedback loops are being hyperactive. He'll settle and come down.
He's done that before, he will do it again.
Don't tax yourself too much :bighug::bighug::bighug:

You’re right, I know this is just what he does and he will come back down eventually. There’s so many things that come into play with Max and it’s just emotionally draining especially on days like these. Thank you for your encouragement though.:)

Don't forget the role of the antibodies. Max wasn't very high in IAA but they seem to also take advantage of higher numbers.:bighug::bighug:
