Happy 4th of July Everyone!!!!

Alex's last 2 cycles were just beautiful and made me a very happy mommy. I think he tried really hard to pull this off because he knows I have nothing to do today and he wanted to make me feel better:) Well, baby..you did GREAT job! cat_pet_icon

Alex is wearing his red, white and blue purry pants that he bought at Posche (from Kim D, one f the wannabe 'Real Housewives of New Jersey' :lol: ) and is ready for the fireworks.."bring 'em" he said! (Oh Alex, it's still light out). He and Jackson had a very big breffis after they BOTH had their morning pills ..lol♥

All p's are in order and A&J are taking their morning snoozeroo I-)

You might want to put Alex's name in the subject line given that first test of the day!

Is the ketone smell gone? I am curious... When you smell ketones do you also get a positive reading on your meter? (And yes, there are jobs for people with noses like yours. You could probably find something in the perfume industry or with Monell in Phila. I think they do smell research and testing.)

Hi Sienne, Happy 4th!

yes, the ketone smell is all gone today :) I knew it would be when Alex's numbers stayed low. I did test him with a ketostix yesterday and forgot to put it on ss. he was trace. I don't really like the meter unless I absolutely have to use it. I know others do but I find it to be inaccurate and not consistent with the ketostix so Carolyn and I have decided it's best to use the ketodiastix for Alex whenever possible.

THANKS for the job tips! Me and my nose will be looking into this :)

Good PS and glad the smell is gone. Thanks to you, I will never walk into a nail shop or use polish remover without thinking of Alex. Having never smelled this in a cat, I can't even begin to imagine the smell and yes I know how it makes you feel when you sense it. And knowing where his Bg's are, you don't even need to smell it, to know it's going to happen. What's even more incredulous is that he is only "trace" and you smell it.

You are one in tune (not looney tunes) but in tune momma bean and Alex is very fortunate that your nose knows!

Good number. Looks like Alex is liking the Levemir. I started Buddy today, and only went with 1/2 of what the Lantus amount was, trying to empty that shed. Anyway hope I get some good numbers in a few cycles to.
