With the added pain meds on board Tucker is doing great. The hospital told me to feed any time he is looking for food, and of course when his insulin is due. It's 9:30am here and he's finished his second Fancy Feast, had several litter tray visits, sat in a window watching birds, knocked over then chewed open a new box of Fancy Feast and is now having a very big bath. The visiting nurse said his vitals looked good yesterday, although she could still feel swelling and he was tender. I've booked an appointment with a new vet tomorrow afternoon for his full re-check. From everything I've heard and read, he's doing about as well as we could hope for at this point. Still negative ketones and his BG was in the yellow, so some improvement there too. Fingers still crossed but I actually slept in 2 and 3 hour blocks last night. I have to say my Fitbit sleep tracker had been going nuts at me the last couple of weeks! First the hypo nights and then this. Tuck is looking better but his mom looks like the walking dead!

and has been jumping up onto the counter tops again.
