Just thought I'd stop and say hi to you and Trey. It will be interesting to see next bg. I'm still new so can't offer advice. You are doing a great job with monitoring your kitty. I read yesterdy's condo, and the same thing has happened with me on getting too small a drop blood. It reads very low, and when I get a normal sized drop I get a different bg.

Let's get your AMPS fixed up, remember AMPS is your pretest number 238 .. Trey AMPS 238 ... you don't need the +11.5 just AMPS and the test number.

Wow this never happen before I don`t think he is going up on +3 ~263 I gave him 2 units and smelled after so sure not a furshot ?????????? :mrgreen: :oops: New strips rechecked and he is 266 what could be going on

Might depend on how much he ate in the last 3 hours. Was he a piggy too?

Did not eat in pass 3 hours He looks great just lazy out on desk(screen in) no free feeding here they just get something everytime Trey gets tested. Sure I gave 2 units now am question myself maybe didn`t measure right ohmygod_smile DH no good this morning :-x :twisted: :mrgreen: I would love to show a picture but haven`t got that ironed out yet either soon though LOL

The rising numbers are most likely a bounce. If you think about Trey being in the greens last night, his numbers have been rising since you got your last PM test. The shot from this morning should be taking effect around your +3. Unless Trey is determined to bounce this cycle, you will probably start to see his numbers coming down.

Remember, part of the reason that we get early tests is to know when your cat's Lantus onset time is.

Trey is a big Orange and white tabby with all the love and hugs you can get from a cat Fur looks good ate 1/3 can FF after test yeahh seems normal LOL :mrgreen: :roll: So if he is bouncing does his onset numbers move up like +4 is that what you mean

if you're able to monitor and have lots of strips and HC, are you ready to shoot? If you shoot, feed, then get a +1, you'll know then if Trey might be going for a dose reduction tonight.

By already shooting late, you're sort of taking a reduction. I believe that Libby was suggesting that you shoot the full 2.0u.

Just to clear up, how long did you stall in total? Put that info in your spreadsheet comments section.

Lets see what the retest is....anything in the 40's we ask that you retest in 15 minutes....stay on the gravy too, easy does it.

Just in case you should run out, you can always add Karo, honey, maple syrup, etc. to LC food. You don't need a lot and it will cause a big spike, which is why gravy is better. But, in case of an emergency, chances are you can manage with what you have on hand.

it's ok, maybe he just wants to surf 50's. I agree with Ronnie, test again in 1/2 hour to see where he's going. If we have to give more gravy then (or syrup, if he really won't eat), then we can. 50's are actually pretty comfy for the cat, but it's hard for the bean to go to sleep in the 50's.
