WCR: had a nice run of blue last night and FINALLY a yellow amps number. I'm not surprised by this number though, we had plans today of course ... I think we're going to wing it and leave for awhile .. sometimes you just have to and it isn't like she is immensely low by any means .. have a great saturday everyone!

oh, and for those who said encouraging words for peter yesterday, the first blood draw did not happen because once we got to the hospital the receptionist kindly informed us that the dr simply wrote up the order incomplete. All he did was put in an order for them to stick a needle in peter. So they don't know what peter's levels are and they don't know how much blood to draw. And they also told us these blood draws will take about 2 hours and they have to be scheduled, we can't just "drop in" So now on Tuesday peter has to call the dr back and see if they can fax him the completed form for them to use and then he has to call the lab manager and the hospital and see if they can schedule him in on Saturdays since he can't really take 2 hours off of work every week.

Morning You guys!! Mocha Jo is looking so good today!! I feel she will be blue & maybe green today!
Hope Peter is doing better--these labs & many drs offices--DUH!!!!! I get lots of blood tests for RA & there have been many times they dont test what they should have tested for..or forgot to draw for something,or whatever--You gotta stay on them..

Nice low yellow AMPS for Mocha. I love those blues last night...wow...looking so much better in blues. Hope she will find her way back to them today....
Hope Peter can have better results as he moves forward. SO annoying when things like that happen! Hope you all have a nice Saturday!

How frustrating that Peter had to go through that. Hope he clears it all up quickly.

Well, as much as I'd like to say it was the hospital, this one sounds like Peter's doctor just didn't know how to write the order. It does sound like a pain. Maybe they can schedule late in the day (or, very early - the lab may be open early) in the AM so it doesn't interfere badly with Peter's work schedule. I can't imagine it will really take that much time. They probably don't want Peter to leave immediately after since many people get lightheaded after a larger blood draw (e.g., like when you donate blood).

headed the wrong way already ....

and yes, it is frustrating that the dr did not write up the order right the first time because even though peter was referred to this specialist, our insurance does not cover his visits there so that comes out of our own pockets. We are hoping they can just fax the new order to peter at work.
