Tashie couldn't be sweeter this morning! She came downstairs with me and gave me little tiny meow's and was humpy backed - this is HUGE as she hasn't been like this in years! I know the Mirtazapine, along with being an appetite stimulant is also an anti depressant and it makes me wonder if she should have had this a long time ago!
So, it's a bummer that she is running HIGH this morning - although this is nothing new for her ........ BUT, there is a possibility that we may have done the dreaded "F" shot last night .... after shooting her Jim said that his left hand was a little wet and smelled like insulin (he is right handed) ...... and then, for her +2 test, when I picked her up, SHE smelled like insulin. He is SURE he shot her - and I watched him but I'm wondering if it was the needle..... We accidentally bought the wrong BD needles - they are 100U instead of 30U so I fell back to some ReliOn that we had as a back up - and they are seeming really "slippy" so it could have been something like that? Who knows! Hate the thought that WE may have screwed up the best day she's had in ages .... well, if so, I guess her insulin depot is drained by now!
Will do a +6 and report back!
Thanks to everyone that was around for me yesterday! Getting numbers in the 30's is freaky! Marje, I was so lucky to have you to hold my hand as I know you are more of a night owl! Bet you were beat last night! THANK YOU!!!
