Good morning,
Yesterday's condo
Yesterday
AMPS=128 (0.5u); +2=151; +5.25=198
PMPS=209 (0.5u); +2.5=218; +6.25=194
Today
AMPS=200 (0.5u); +2=142
Lucy enjoyed her birthday tuna sashimi and whipped cream yesterday.
Of course Ginger got some too. She was probably more excited about tuna than Lucy was.
I still got some left over, so we are all going to enjoy them today again.
Lucy is doing good this morning.
She ate about 3/4 of her breakfast pretty well.
She's been purry, and we got some nice cuddles on the sofa again!!!
She's getting up and walking OK, slowly and she sometimes need to rest in between, but not wobbly today.
I have a vet appointment this afternoon.
I made this appointment before the ultrasound to discuss the treatment plan including maybe seeing an oncologist or IM specialist.
I wasn't planning on treating cancer, but I thought at that time there might be more I could do in terms of supportive care.
After the ultrasound and the bad news, this appointment hardly seems necessary, but I kept it, so I can talk with the vet to make sure I'm doing everything I can to make her comfortable.
I haven't decided if I want to ask how long more of quality life the vet thought Lucy has.
I want to know what to expect, but I am scared to hear the answer.
On the ultrasound day, the other vet did say that with this type of cancer, it is reasonable to think in weeks rather than in months.
But however long it might be, as you all pointed out, I'm going to take it one day at a time and make every moment count.
I'm not going to take Lucy with me today, but her bum looks so sore from all the diarrhea I want the vet to take a look.
So, I took some close-up photos of her bumbum. :lol:
Lucy is also having a distant animal communication session today with her reiki practitioner.
I only asked two questions.
Is she suffering/in pain? And, Does she want to be set free?
I hope to hear "Not yet", but I'll try to be open to whatever she has to say.
Hoping for another good day here. So far so good.
Sending vines to all in need.
