Yesterday: flat pink then a breakthrough?
Good morning!
Up early this morning :( DH plays golf on Thursdays and I have a cake smash/tub session starting at 10:00 (+2) that I have to set up for. t/f/s is in 1.25 hours
Boomer decided to work the juice during the PM cycle and dropped 133 points by +3. My plan was to test him again during the night but I didn't set an alarm because I've been sleeping lousy and figured I would wake up. Of course I didn't :rolleyes:. So I'm writing this before t/f/s and I'm anxious to see if he starts any lower today.

I do believe that I will start the new insulin tomorrow regardless of what he does today; the old bottle is almost 6 months old so I might as well start a new pen (cartridge) while he is still in higher (safe) numbers.

Yesterday DH and I went out for a bit in the afternoon; Boomer gave us permission and I felt the need to get away from things for a bit. We just headed to a local park but on the way stopped at a place where there are always deer hanging around.....I knew there would be fawns. It was the middle of the afternoon and hot and humid so, on the upside, the deer were just laying around and didn't care to move when I came near (I don't have to get too close with my big-ass lens) but on the downside there weren't many out so the others must have been hiding in the wooded areas. Luckily there was one baby laying by itself! I call this one "Oh What Big Ears You Have" lol. Enjoy!

Yo Deputy Boomer, ready yet for surf duty in the lagoon? Lookin' good this morning!
~ LagoonMeister Rusty

Beautiful pic of the fawn. I love the way the mama deer stash their fawns in tall grass so that they can sleep while mama is busy eating.

Hooray for blue!:cool::cool::cool:
Love the pic of the fawn. Years ago we rescued a newborn fawn whose mama had been killed by a car. he was here with us for about4-5 hours before we could take him to the rescue compound, and we deliberately tried to give him space without a lot of human interaction, but they imprint so quickly it's unbelievable! When we got to the compound he didn't want to leave my side. It broke my heart to leave the little guy, but he had a good foster mama (of the deer variety, not the human variety, lol ) and grew up to be a handsome buck. But I've never forgotten that sweet little baby!

The fawn was all by itself in a wee bit of a hole so yes nicely hidden. I kept looking around thinking that mama/papa might come barrelling out of nowhere to protect the baby lol

What a beautiful baby! Which big lens were you using? I'm heading into the woods for a week starting on Sunday and really hoping I can see something more natural than concrete and traffic jams!

What great numbers from Boomer! Hope he keeps it up for you!

It's a Sigma 150-600

Hey Boomer!! Glad to see you back on the beach and out of the weeds!!! Us deputies need to stay close enough to see the kitties that might get into trouble!!

Hopefully you'll be paddling around with China again soon!!

I just love your pictures Judy....You have such a good eye and they are all just wonderful. I tried to get a picture of a butterfly the other day that was on my flowers but it wouldn't hold still!! (all I have is my cell phone camera but I was trying!)

Woohoo! :cool::cool::cool: Go Boomer.

My parents live at the edge of the woods, so they often have names for the deer that hang around. Did I mention the apple orchard near by? :p Anyway, the deer get to know them and trust them too. One time I arrived to see a set of twins parked at the base of a tree by their back door. Momma was off somewhere and left them for my parents to tend to. :) Wish I'd had a BA lens with me!

That would be awesome!

So happy for you and Boomer! :cool:. Let's see some greens now Mr. B:cat:

Any update on dental?

Here is a cell phone pic (taken through the kitchen window) of a fawn in our back yard from this spring. Not nearly the quality of yours. We used to have an entire herd that would come in (20 or so). We had a corn feeder out back. They would come in every evening. Now we only get one or two every once in a while. :(
