Hmmm...pretty typical AMBG by Trix's standards, but not totally loving that "+3"...I'm used to seeing bigger drops and/or green here. I'm going to grab an extra test this evening to make sure this is one of those randome flukes.
She's also decided she's getting sick of Purina One chicken pate, so it's back to Fancy Feast now. My new plan with her fuds is to feed her one of the three flavors I've picked for her exclusively, and then when she tires of that falvor, rotate on to the next, rather than giving her various choices throughout one single day. Hopefully this way, when one of the old foods moves to the front of the rotation, it will seem like a new food all over again. Hopefully that will keep her finickiness to a minimum. So far so good, with the switch back to Fancy Feast. She continues to eat well, as long as I show her the plate.
My Dad's consult with the oncologist is set for Monday afternoon. We were over their house last night because DH, who can fix anything, is going to install the ice maker in their new fridge for them and he needed to get the specs. My Dad's attitude wasn't too bad...he's obviously depressed and I know there are going to be ups and downs, but we did get some laughs going, too. Hopefully we'll get some news from the oncologist that will create optimism. I know so many amazingly positive cancer success stories, and I think right now, the lack of information and not having a plan yet, on top of the diagnosis itself, makes things a million times more stressful. I think what gets my Dad the most is that he has made it nearly 82 years without hardly a health issue, and this - on top of being a scary diagnosis - suddenly made him feel "old", too. (I've always been able to brag about how "young" he is, despite his "real" age. I mean, he just retired from teaching at Penn when he turned 80!) Hopefully he will soon realize that not having any other health issues will prove that he's really young as we work through this.
I'm going to attempt pre-work workout...at this point, it will have to be pretty short, but it will get my blood moving a bit. Sending my prayers out to all of my amazing LL family....
