It's my mom's birthday today - Happy Birthday, Mom!!!
Kasha ate about 1 2/3 Tbsp FF for breakfast and about 1/2 hour later asked for more and she's been nibbling on and off on the "new" stuff. She just sneezed 3 times, which is still better than the 20 sneeze fits she was having. Last night she sneezed 2 or 3 times and there was some blood in the little mucus I had to wipe away from her nose. So, whatever this is, it's still going on...
She ate up her whole nighttime snack around +8.5 (when I got up from the couch!).
Last night something strange happened that made me uncomfortable. Blue went into the dining room and got too near Kasha and she hissed at him. I didn't think anything of it, she sometimes doesn't want him near her at all. But then she came into the living room and he was tailing her - literally following so close to her tail he could practically touch her. That's odd. She was irritated and went over to the pet steps. As she stepped on the steps, he did too (weird) and she was hissing at him to leave her alone but he was totally focused on her - not playing, just focused like there was something different about her and he was trying to check it out. She went up the steps, hissing, got on her papasan chair and lay down. He came up the steps and kept looking at her and then, for the first time ever, took a step toward the papasan chair (instead of toward the couch which is on the other side of the step and that's Blue's domain) she snarled and hissed and he kept staring at her, then finally turned, went back down the steps, and walked to the front door that goes to the porch. He started making this strange deep, low crying sound, very mournful, as he hopped over there. The kind of cry he used to make when he couldn't find me and was all alone - but I was sitting right there. He lay down on his side, just howling/crying away. I was on the phone watching this - I went over to him and he just looked at me like this was all normal and started purring.
So I spend the rest of the evening watching them, wondering if there's something wrong with Kasha that only Blue can see or if there is something wrong with Blue. Woke up around 1:30 am or so on the couch with Blue snuggled up along the side of me, his head and front paws lying on my shoulder. Not sure how he managed to get in that position while I was sleeping, but luckily he was only radiating about 1000 degrees Fahrenheit and cooking me while I slept... At least, that's how it seemed to me.
