Good Morning everyone! DH surgery went very well yesterday - it was a long long day but Luci had her auto-feeder and I was even able to come back home during the procedure to check on her and have breakfast.
Modern medicine is a miracle - he's got a brand new hip and a quite an incision on his hip - but already he seems to be having less hip pain than before the replacement. Now it's just a matter of the incision pain which hopefully we can manage with pain meds, ice packs and rest.
I however have to run up and down the stairs a lot - even though I've been trying to prepare things to have upstairs to make it easier for us both - there's still so much that just needs to be done as needed - mostly delivering food and ice packs...and now I'm doing all the other stuff that he usually helps with - and Luci will hopefully behave herself today - looks like she's back in the lagoon this morning and wants to do a little more surfing...let's see how long that lasts.

It'll be a busy day and I've taken the day as a 'vacation day' - some people just don't know how to relax! So I'm off to get started on the long to-do list.

Prayers for Bill’s pain level to improve daily. Prayers for you that you don’t just drop from exhaustion, I would like to have even just half of your energy. Bill is lucky to have you by his side. Take care of yourself. Luci behave for you mama.
