7/19 Vacation dose?

Hi,

I am hoping to go on a vacation to see my family this Wednesday evening. I am able to test and monitor until I leave and can cancel if anything goes wonky.

My partner will be here to administer insulin (he is the one who has been doing it this whole time, I am the tester) and keep an eye on FCC to make sure all is well. He doesn't act too differently when I am away, but is slightly more aloof and hides a bit. He is always guaranteed to come out at meal time and never hides to the point where we don't know where he is.

He has been doing great on his new dose, but I know I need to pull it back for the days that I am away. I was wondering if anyone would be able to share their wisdom with me?

Thank you.

Following TR do you think I would be able to get him back on track reasonably quickly or would it mess him up for several weeks?

I think he will get back on track quickly since he’s doing so well. You would go right back to the dose he’s on now.

I was just told there will be another family reunion in August because of all the time that has passed. I greatly appreciate your advice and I am going to pose the same question again, but now that I know I can still see everyone it makes sense to stay put and keep on trucking with him. Try and keep those green and blues going strong.

Thank you so much for taking the time to help me.

That’s great. It gives us more time in these great numbers but he would have been fine. Sometimes the vacation dose even becomes the new dose upon return.

I would be so happy if he earns a lower dose. It's so nice to know he's healing inside.

You have been so helpful and I owe a world of pay it forward as a result of this forum.

Hopefully when he gets his vacation dose next month it can stick.
