Good Morning Friends,:coffee::bighug:

Macho got 345 sugar cubes and + 2 281 Hopefully we see Green today.

I had hopes yesterday to see green but it didn't. This condition is very difficult for me to understand. I just want him to get better.

That’s quite a drop from the preshot to the +2. Did you give Macho a snack at +2?
I would get a +4 if you can.
You are doing a great job looking after Macho. He’s a lucky boy to have you and your brother.
Of course you want he to get better……everything you are doing for him is helping him every day.

Good morning. Just a comment about feeding. It’s best if you see a blue or green test at shot time to feed less than usual to keep him hungry. Then it won’t be necessary to give him honey to prevent dropping. Just a couple teaspoons of mc or hc will be all he needs if his number is going down but he has to want to eat. Make sense?

ok. yes because he was so full that he didnt wanted to eat anything. which is the first time he is been so full.

Exactly. If he is higher and not wanting to eat after his shot until later it’s not an issue. We don’t know when that will happen though. So I would feed half of your morning meal when you give the insulin and then more at +2. If dropping don’t feed enough to make him full. When he’s in the blue and green he needs to want to eat until he’s finished dropping.

i just give him a tea spoon of food. he usually eats half or who can of ff.
 
So instead of half or whole at amps give 1/4 to 3/4. You can wait 2 hours to test. I don’t think he will go much lower. He’s looking really good.
 
If he were under 150 we would stall, not feed, and retest in 20-30 minutes. 281 is a very safe number to shoot.
 
Just a teaspoon or two of medleys should do it. How late will you be up? It’s late. You could also leave out some of the regular food after he eats tge medleys.
 
Please keep him a little hungry so that he will eat at +1 and +2 and later in the day if he is low.

Just to confirm, you have fed 1/2 can of his usual low carb FF Classic, right? Not FF Medleys/Florentine?

You are amazing for being 8 years old.
I taught my 9 year old granddaughter to test my cat Sheba and when I had to go into hospital she tested Sheba for me.

I learned from my dad last year. I was afraid first since is a very small spot and MACHO was not happy about it.
My dad started to doing the test but he was so tired since he works.
Sometimes i pick his ear and blood don't come out so i have to try again and that is when he lose it and gets feisty and he is a big cat.
its 7:40am. almost there ill leave at 7:58.
