Hello and welcome to Lantus land!

I hope Fin is adjusting to Lantus. We would like to know how Fin feels today.

Could you confirm that you are using an alphatrack meter and if this is the case, it would be very useful if you could make a note of it in your signature so it's obvious to people trying to help you. Thanks.

Also.... I'm sure you have been already lantus-lessoned-up but I just have to mention that this is a bit of a testing forum. As a minimum, we would like tests at AMPS, PMPS and before you go to bed. The bedtime spot checks are very telling.... have a look around the other SSs and you will see....

Again, Welcome!

Hello Helene and Tizon! Fin is doing well today. In fact, he seems to be doing much better with smaller, more frequent meals. All the vital information (meter, insulin dose, food schedule) is in Fin's profile for quick reference.

Thanks for asking after him!

I'm glad to hear that the small, frequent meals are working out. I hope you were able to get some spot checks in today.

Helene is right -- it's very helpful to put a note in your signature that you use an AlphaTrack meter. So few people use that meter that it's a good reminder for those of us that are always looking at spreadsheets. The numbers for the AlphaTrack are a little different -- they run a bit higher than a human meter -- and we need to make a mental adjustment when looking at a SS.
