Good Morning Friends,

This is Clara. Macho amps was 355 and +2 is 345.

Good morning. He’s high from all the normal numbers he’s not used to and all the hc food. So starting tonight let’s take his dose down to 3.0 and see if we can get him to stay in good safe numbers and let you and your brother sleep at night. You should be very encouraged that he was in normal numbers a lot yesterday and last night. I am. :D

Just to clarify for the future (and you can write this down somewhere):
HC (high carb) is 9 Lives
MC (medium carb) is FF Floretine
LC (low carb) is your normal food - FF Classic and Tiny Tiger pates

yes, very helpful. ill write it in my bulletin board and i leave it in the fridge.
 
As long as he’s happy eating the foods @Bandit's Mom mentioned for now try to stick with those. It will help us figure out how sensitive he is to carbs and what to feed if he’s getting too low. In the comments section if possible keep track of what he eats throughout the day.
Did your vet say whether he is at a good weight or needs to gain or lose weight?

the vet said he was mild obese. that he needs to lose weight. OK, i will write down his food on the spreadsheet also can i give him a little now he is 201.

you should know that the previous vet said he was ok but this one said that he mild obese.
I see him fine, he is a big cat and i can feel his ribs and he has the v shape.
 
That’s okay. He’s bouncing and expected. Get a pmps and give 3 unless under 150. If 150 or lower post for us to guide you.
 
If he doesn’t drop at +2no more tests are needed but if he does drop you need another test. Maybe it’s a good idea to always post the +2 in your title so we can advise you. There’s a lot to learn about feline diabetes. Let us help you :bighug:
